Concero – Toyota Robot Band (2005), Toyota, Japan. Toyota's robot band, Concero, is made up of Harry, Dave, Chuck, and Richie, plus a 'DJ' robot as MC. Their debut performance is at the Japan Expo 2005 in the Toyota Group pavilion. "The virtuoso robot band “Concero” consists of both wheeled and bipedal robots. The bipedal model can easily maneuver in a human environment to assist in a variety of tasks. Wheeled robots are beneficial in environments where high speeds and the ability to rapidly change direction are desirable. A total of eight robots performed during EXPO 2005, playing many different instruments, including the trumpet, the French horn and the tuba. A management system was developed to monitor and control the robots during the performance shows. This system facilitated pre-show preparations such as standby mode software, battery and position control checks. The lighting, music and other stage controls were also fully integrated into the robot management system. After signaling the robots to initiate the programmed tasks, this system allowed the show’s engineers to wirelessly monitor the location and condition of each unit during the performance." – Toyota Partner Robots.

Here's some new characters for a side story I'm writing. They're an animatronic band built in the early 1980s by a Japanese company. The band is a Jazz Fusion band named SweetPea.

The purple one is Jinx Caida, he's based on a Giant Cicada, he's the band's drummer.

The yellow one is Seguchi Maximilian, he's based on an Asian Honeybee. He's the band's Hype man.

The pink one is Rachael, she's based on a Giant Asian Hornet. She's the band's keyboardist and lead singer.

The green one is Sparx, he's based on a Nut Weevil, he's the band's guitarist. (His guitar is based on a Casio DG-20)

Their storyline is that in 1988 they were put into storage for repairs. Believing that they're going to get scrapped three of the four Animatronics escape and end up getting involved in Japan's Motorsports scene.

"LITTLE JAMMER PRO tuned by KENWOOD" (2006) by Mitsuo Hagiwara (Sound Meister), Takuya Nakayam (designer), Shigehiro Maru (musician), Yuji Sawajiri (sound system), from Bandai and Kenwood, Tokyo, Japan. The Little Jammer Pro uses an enhanced 16 bit polyphonic sound engine with 6.1 channel surround sound. Each character speaker plays its own independent channel, and moves in synchrony with the sound. Performing with the band, in the video above, is the "Dedicated Guest Player Vocalist" add-on.

Each player modeling was thought from the skeleton, and the silhouette pursued a realism that reminded me of a real artist.
