sleep: what is the most comforting thing at night time for you?

the sound of rain outside, being buried in a warm fluffy blanket, car headlights along the wall, the sound of a cat purring

visitor: what creature visits your dreams most often?

“creature”. I don’t really get visited by creatures in my dreams? honestly there’s not usually much other life besides me and any side characters who may make an appearance.

finds: what kind of item would you most likely buy from an antique store?

I already answered this, but the first time was mostly stuff I tend to/would be able to buy, considering antique stores are expensive and I am poor. so here’s what I would buy if money was no issue: a beautiful piece of art (something to hang on the wall, something big), an old dresser with peeling paint and edges worn soft, a big weatherworn chest or steamer trunk, something that’s totally unnecessary to life today but looks cool (a typewriter, a washingboard, a streetlight, etc). something with some history.

2. How long have you known your best friend?

This is on purpose, and you know it. xD I’ve seen you online since about 2006, but we didn’t actually start communicating directly until 2012, I think.

12. How did you meet your best friend and why did you become friends?

Okay so, we knew of each other on the Young Wizard forums, where I was Kk, and she was Elita Justice, and we vaguely acknowledged each other.

And then I followed her YW blog, she messaged me when I offered to send Christmas cards to people, and we ranted at each other about Supernatural for a few months, at which point we were definitely BFFs.

And then I visited her in Canada, and it was great!

14. Do you prefer to read poetry, write poetry, or neither?

Okay so I like reading poetry, but I don’t do it enough. I’ve got plenty of poetry books sitting around, but what do I read? Fanfiction.

18. A random memory from you childhood:

Okay so this one time in Bible class when I was very young, there was a game, and those that won would get a ~surprise~. And we were like, “Oh yay, a surprise!” 

But this kid Jeffery leaned over to me and was like, “Hey, I know what the surprise is. It’s Teletubbies coloring books.” And I told him he must be wrong, because I hated Teletubbies, and that it would be a terrible surprise. 

But he was right, and I won, and went home with a Teletubbies coloring book, and was upset the rest of the day.

41. When was the last time you got really really happy and why?

Umm, I got really emotional during the episode “The Answer” from Steven Universe, but that wasn’t specifically happy. 

Gay Marriage Legalization was a huge happy thing! But that was a while ago, and I’m trying to think of something that’s happened since that made me really happy…

Halloween? That was pretty great.

right in metro vancouver (kits specifically) and my bed rocked hard enough that I felt like it was gonna collapse. it was like I was riding a wave for a second. then I heard a faint rumbling like something was going on outside (haven't gone out so idk if anything did), then it was over. pretty freaky!

23. Have you ever met any celebrities?

I’ve met authors a bunch! Esther Friesner, Judy Blume, Jon Sciezca... And I met the cast of WTNV, and got pictures with them. They’re great. But no movie or TV actors or anything.

Oh! I did shake hands with Buzz Aldrin. I keep forgetting that one.

25. What color socks are you wearing?

None right now, but the ones I wore last were seafoam green with little kitty faces on them. :)

35. Have you ever tried archery?

No, but I’ve always wanted to. I had a toy bow and arrow as a kid, but it turns out that archery is expensive.

36. Favorite clean word?

That’s kinda a hard choice. Right now I like “Determination” because Undertale

67. Can you name all 50 states of America?

BARELY. I just did an online quiz to find out, and it took me a long time, and I kept getting stuck. Well, who cares about Kentucky anyway? Or Missouri?

96. How did you get your name?

There’s a history of K-names in my family. My grandmother’s was Katherine, my mom’s is Karen, and that’s why mine is Kaitlynn. My middle name, however, is not a family name - and I’m cool with it, because I love my middle name. (Melissa)

re: moving out, I just did that (I'm 21) and I'm already starting to feel the financial stress. I have a roommate and we got a relatively good deal for the area (Kitsilano lol) but I'm still. so poor. I really don't want to have to move back in with my parents but idk how I'll be able to stay in the city either :S sure makes me wish mincome was a thing.
