Tell me about Kanan and their best or worst childhood school memory in 8th grade specifically. Now compare it to their struggles now as an adult. 500 word essay on how they use their knowledge back in 8th grade to solve their day to day problems now.

Moth you're so lucky. You're so lucky you chose 8th grade. Any later and this would be angsty.

Eighth grade. Kanan had a science project they needed to do. They had to create a diorama of any solar system they chose. Kanan went all fucking out. This kid loves space as much as I do. Their mother was a legit astronomer so they had a lot of help from Mama McCarthy to make the most accurate fuckin' diorama of the Sol System you've ever seen.

Kanan 100% has memorized the distances between each planet in Sol. Do not ask because I have not memorized the distances lmao. But Kanan most certainly has as a result of this science project and they made a scale diorama. It was extremely accurate and many of their classmates were probably really mad at Kanan for showing off that they had a Science Mom.

Anyway, Kanan uses the information they absorbed during that project for traveling in the modern day. They know exactly how much fuel will get them from one planet in Sol to another. And they've memorized stuff like that for other solar systems as well, especially Eridani, Cheyenne, and Alpha Centauri.
