Attention all @washingtoncapitals fans!
I signed up for this event as a team captain, which means that I can add people into my team and have everyone run at the same time.
If you’re not doing anything else on Saturday afternoon* of August 20th, why not come on down to lovely scenic good ol’ RFK Stadium and run an obstacle course/race inspired by the same individuals responsible for giving us Wipeout? There are team prizes, and if nothing else, 20 people in caps gear** running this thing might make @russianmachineneverbreaks.
If you are at all interested, feel free to drop me a line in tumblr IMs or the ask box or what have you. You can join or leave a team at any time, so feel free to just go ahead and register, but make sure you register to run in the after noon wave.
* Everyone has to run at the same time for it to count as a team, but if there’s an overwhelming demand to run in the morning instead I can see about getting my start time changed.
** A term which here means “low-budget t-shirts” unless someone from somebody’s promotional department agrees to bankroll 20 caps sweaters that may or may not get extremely dirty and/or meet an untimely water-based demise over the course of this thing.
