kiha   would   be   lying   if   he   said   he   hadn't   been   hyperaware   of   rocco's   presence   from   the   moment   the   driver   walked   into   the   pavilion   earlier   that   night   .   and   now   —   nearly   three   hours   and   an   entirely   new   location   later   ,   he's   still   on   high   alert   .   he   knows   without   looking   that   rocco   is   standing   at   the   bar   ,   sporting   an   expression   that   reminds   him   of   the   day   they   met   —   calm   but   with   that   ever   present   smirk   he'd   grown   used   to   seeing   during   their   two   weeks   together   .

he's   not   sure   if   he's   been   spotted   yet   but   when   he   chances   a   glance   in   the   other   man's   direction   and   they   locks   eyes   ,   the   hairs   on   the   back   of   his   neck   immediately   stand   up   .   it   didn't   make   sense   to   kiha   how   rocco   still   had   that   affect   on   him   .   after   all   ,   they   spent   less   than   a   month   in   each   other's   presence   and   though   he   still   thinks   about   it   at   times   ,   in   very   vivid   detail   ,   he   never   expected   this   .   it   was   unlike   kiha   to   ever   be   hung   up   on   another   person   ,   especially   not   one   he   barely   even   knew   .

an   eyebrow   raises   in   acknowledgment   ,   his   feet   carrying   him   to   the   bar   and   the   seat   directly   next   to   rocco   .   kiha   rests   his   elbows   on   the   counter   and   nods   at   the   bartender   ,   ordering   them   both   a   drink   in   fluent   french   before   turning   around   .   through   it   all   ,   he's   careful   not   to   let   his   body   language   give   away   how   affected   he   really   is   .   ❛   shouldn't   you   be   at   the   start   of   a   season   right   now   ?   ❜
