I mentioned in a tag game that what I was working on was photo editing. A few weeks ago my family and I went on this cruise called the Rock Boat, and I was signed up for photography lessons called Shot Club. It let you get up close with the bands for pictures. Well, 1010 edited photos later, here’s some of my favorites.

Neon Trees was another one I’d heard of going in. They were really cool to see in concert. The lead singer had a fun personality, and the rest of the band was cool too.

American Authors was probably my favorite band I knew going in to the Rock Boat, as I’d already liked several of their songs. They were still a lot of fun to see in person, and I heard some new songs from them I now need to look up.

Hero the Band was another fun one to photograph. These guys had some cool moves. They were also one of the bands that let us do a portrait session with them. I did a fun little edit on one, let me know if you can tell.

What happened was my family and I got to go on the Rock Boat, and I was signed up for a photography class called Shot Club, which lets you get up close to the bands for pictures. The band I most enjoyed photographing was Lit. All of the band was so dynamic. No matter who you were pointing the camera at all of them had some great pose. I like a lot more than this, but these are my favorites.

These photos are all from different bands. The first is Sister Hazel, who hosted the cruise this year. Next is I think Southern Avenue, I don’t quite remember. After that is Magic Giant, who were good, and the last is from Welshly Arms, they were cool too.

“Years ago, when I was attending Rock the Boat, Zac made a comment to my friend and I that we felt at the time was racist. We laughed to his face nervously, then talked about it privately and then we pushed it out of our minds. Over the years though, it always left a sour taste in my mouth. This week made those feelings amplify and stick in my throat. I don’t want to label anyone a racist without cause, but I don’t think I could ever continue supporting Zac in good conscious. I just wish I’d been more truthful with myself about his language and just-for-laughs degradation.On the off chance he reads this (although even if does, I highly doubt he remembers the conversation): Zac, we were the girls you talked to about a certain type of doll, a cookie jar, how to draw cartoons and people being too easily offended. “
