MY K-POP WIRE at live: Loud, Fearless and Unapologetically Themselves: QWER Turn 1ST WORLD TOUR in Singapore Into an Unforgettable Rock Escape
➤ The Beginning
Formed through Tamago Production’s YouTube project “My Favorite Idols”, QWER emerged as a refreshing force in the K-band landscape — a girl band that plays their own instruments while weaving vibrant rock elements into their sound.
Consisting of four members with distinctly different backgrounds, QWER thrives on diversity. Their individuality doesn’t clash — it converges, transforming varied influences into a cohesive, dynamic identity. The group officially debuted in October 2023 with the single album Harmony from Discord, introducing themselves with the bold and energetic track “Discord.”
Since then, QWER have steadily built momentum with viral releases including “T.B.H,” “Fake Idol,” “My Name is Malgeum,” and “Dear.” Their explosive stage presence and candid charm have earned them industry recognition, sweeping three trophies at the inaugural D Awards — Trend of the Year, D Awards Delight Blue Label, and Best Band. At the 2025 Asia Artist Awards, the quartet further solidified their status by taking home Best Band, marking a significant milestone on the international stage.
➤ The First World Tour: ROCKATION
Kicking off in October 2025 at Seoul’s Handball Olympic Gymnasium, QWER’s first four-month world tour spans 17 cities across Asia and the Americas. Singapore stands as the final overseas stop before the journey comes full circle with a grand finale in Seoul in March 2026.
The cleverly coined title “ROCKATION” merges “rock” and “vacation,” perfectly encapsulating QWER’s spirited philosophy. Every show feels like a getaway — loud, liberating, and joyfully unfiltered. The name also subtly plays on “location,” symbolizing their commitment to reaching fans across the globe and creating shared memories wherever they go.
➤ Rock, Reinvented — Fun, Fearless and Electrifying
Although member Hina was unable to perform due to health reasons, the trio delivered a performance that felt both powerful and heartfelt, carrying her presence in spirit throughout the night.
QWER’s brand of rock balances punchy instrumentation with playful charm. Pom-poms and megaphone accents framed their stage aesthetic, adding a youthful brightness that complemented sharp guitar textures and driving rhythms. The arrangement allowed the vocals to soar with clarity and controlled intensity.
As the lights dimmed, anticipation rippled through the hall. The opening notes of “G9JB” signaled the start, instantly drawing cheers from Bawige (바위게), their devoted fandom. Without pause, the group launched into “Overdrive” and “T.B.H,” accelerating the tempo and locking the crowd into a shared surge of adrenaline.
Lead vocalist Siyeon commanded the stage with piercing high notes that sliced cleanly through the venue, while Magenta’s steady bass lines anchored the melodies. Behind the kit, Chodan powered each transition with precision and force, creating a tightly woven sonic backbone.
The setlist unfolded into a thrilling sequence of fan-favourite tracks — “My Name is Malgeum,” “Fake Idol,” “Dear,” “Rebound,” and more — before culminating in the emotionally sweeping “Goodbye My Sadness.”
➤ An Encore That Refused to Slow Down
Opening the encore with “Sincerely Yours,” QWER shifted the mood into something tender and intimate. Their harmonies blended seamlessly, inviting the audience into a softer, more reflective moment.
But the night was far from over.
The energy reignited with “Youth of Promise,” followed by the anthemic “Discord” and “Make Our Highlight,” transforming the venue into one final explosion of sound and celebration. Rather than a quiet farewell, QWER chose to end on a high — loud, vibrant, and unapologetically alive.
➤ A Bond Beyond the Stage
What sets QWER apart isn’t just their musicianship — it’s the sincerity that threads through every interaction. Whether through heartfelt ment segments or simple words of gratitude, the group consistently makes fans feel acknowledged and valued.
From emotional send-offs to spontaneous smiles exchanged across the barricade, their concerts feel less like performances and more like shared experiences. It’s this authenticity that strengthens their bond with Bawige worldwide — turning support into connection, and connection into something lasting.
➤ A ROCKATION to Remember
If ROCKATION was meant to be a musical getaway, then Singapore became its perfect postcard moment. For one night, the venue transformed into more than just a tour stop — it became a destination where sound, spirit, and sincerity converged.
QWER didn’t simply perform; they invited fans into their world — a place where rock is playful, emotions are fearless, and individuality is celebrated. As the tour prepares to return home to Seoul, the echoes left behind in Singapore feel like souvenirs of something shared: a reminder that no matter the location, QWER’s rock-infused escape is one that Bawige will always be ready to revisit.
Because with QWER, every stage is a new location — and every location becomes a ROCKATION.
