RIP Adobe Flash Player. Adobe ended their browser support for this plugin. I and I’m sure many grew up on web games before Steam, PC, and console games became more mainstream. I remember doing a lot with Shockwave and Flash based games alike. Shockwave.com, Miniclip, Armorgames, and Kongregate were my huge go tos, Kongregate well through my graduate school years. I looked forward to games like WB Steppenwolf (anyone remember that suspenseful point and click game about a crypo hunter?). Tower defense games and those that involved upgrades like those launcher and scrolling shooter games were the shiznit I even got into those clicker/increemental games as perfect time wasters until they dominated everything and got old......Gemcraft, Bloons, and Learn to Fly with the penguin shown in this piece of fan art were my top favorites that I followed religiously for their sequels. I’m sure there will be an emulator in the future, but I’ll still miss just being able to come home from school and starting up my internet browser for a quick play of my favorite game especially as a Mac user who didn’t have other games to play.
