My CFI took freaking forever to come join me on the tarmac today so I finished the whole preflight and did a bit of chairflying then was bored af so took a pic of this F-18 that I walked past otw to our fleet
Sorry for shitty angle but meh. We see lots of awesome aircraft at my airport because it’s not commercial but still super super busy (busiest in the US I think) and we get a good amount of military people flying through cross country as part of their training.
Today I was flying a C-172 with a 6-pack which i don’t fly as often but still love this thing.
The fuzzy seats are killing me though 😭
My CFI warned me this was he least favorite out of our fleet because it’s extra heavy due to an old AC that dosent even work anymore but everyone’s too lazy to modify it so it’s just the weird plane.
And then we didn’t even get to fly after we towed it out and almost started the engine because it started gusting too much and wouldn’t have been a productive lesson with such severe turbulence. Sigh. But definitely not lost time, we just sat in the plane together and chatted about checklists and procedures :)
