Awkward family photos vs fun found family photos except you only have a found family because you got kidnapped that one time.

Okay so yesterday I went through my harddrive and read some real old stories. Including Rocket Riders, a story I made up when I was like 11 or 12? And the basis is ‘children get kidnapped to become space soldiers’ which i think really says something about me.
But, I do think it’s an interesting idea, especially now that I’m older and have a lot more experience with world building so I’m kinda tempted to go back to it? And apparently the first part of ‘going back to it’ is drawing out my main character (Neil) and his two families.
Anyway, if anyone’s interested in this world let me know because other peoples interest is my best motivation
