Rock Guru’s Band of the Month
This month’s Band is Hand Of The Marytr. I had heard only good things about this for some time but never got the chance to actually listen to them. Just last month, as I was looking for a band to recommend to you all, I was reminded of ‘Marytr’. Hand of The Marytr is the a 4 piece Christian Metalcore/Hardcore band from Salt Lake City, Utah. The band started off as high school friends with a mutual love for music and God are now coming out with their self titled, debut album. ‘All The Days Of May’ is the latest single off the album released in earlier march. The single grabs you with its incredible lyrics; “Lead my mind to a containment so it redefines the light inside. Lead my mind to a containment that is petrified to go the way of pride. It’s all wrong for me to be wallowing in pain after all the long hard days of finding who I am. Through all the days of May, and feeling I’m complete, I never thought I’d recreate the monster that I killed.” Since finding out about the band, I love Foul Tongue. A great guitar riff and gang vocals. It reminds me a lot of The Ghost Inside when they first started out. These guys have a big future ahead of them. Not many Christian Metalcore bands can get me top fall in love with their music but Hand of The Marytr did.
