Ace handles bass duties on this one, so it only features two Kiss members plus Anton Fig on drums. Hard Times was released in May, 1979 as the b-side to I Was Made For Lovin' You. It's one of Ace's favourite songs and wishes the band had performed it live. Ace recollects on the subject matter of Hard Times; " The lyrics talk about when I used to go to high school and cut classes. I went to high school for five years [laughs]. I was a sophomore for two years, one year I partied away [laughs] and I don't remember half the things I did.
