Preliminary intro to Rockwell (they/them): Recruited as a backup for S.T.A.R.S., they’re usually left behind the scenes until the need arises for an extra hand in the Alpha team, but they’re also available to Bravo. They’re a farm kid from way up in the Arklay mountains, but living up there had the unfortunate consequence of sharing the same rivers and air as a certain testing facility 🧪

anyway they’re wesker’s loving coworker and they bite. i care them (they will go through hell)

Albert Wesker, Captain of the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha team, has always had his eye on the amicable little backup whose senses rival that of a bat’s: Pixie Rockwell. One of the only people to truly come close, they follow his path wherever he may lead them— becoming LaRue in their later years for anonymity, because even the most tyrannical God can’t help but wonder what might become of his most devoted follower, lest heretics use it as his weakness.

(Re9 SPOILERS technically, just zeno lore)

i hate this game and what it stands for for sooo many reasons. that being said: it scratches a part of my brain to imagine post re8 rockwell learning zeno exists and meeting him.

theyve been butting heads w/ chris nonstop and just got close to actually MAYBE getting A LITTLE over wesker’s death and considering a future.. and then they hear about blue umbrella and see a picture of zeno and they spiral. the fact that it isn’t wesker but some imitation (lol) is just salt in the wound—what do you mean this guy thinks he’s better than the original? (Actually i think ppl misinterpret that cutscene and take the line out of context since he was talking about spencer, not wesker, but regardless) who do you think you are with your ugly ass undercut and gay little earring and stupidly long barrel pistol????

pix going behind chris’ back to find zeno.. angry at his existence and his audacity and everything about him and yet… this is the closest thing they have to him again. he haunts them and they crave him, having spent so long of their life tied to him, and even if zeno is just a clone, his face is just the same. his hands are just as strong.

maybe the thing that made wesker love them was ingrained in zeno’s genes, too. he clearly has some sort of interest in their virus (UGH I HAVE TO MAKE THE RACCOON CITY SYNDROME WORK WITH THEIR VIRUS) and finds them attractive enough.. wesker really is gone and he would understand that this is grief manifest……

none of it’s out of love. if anything they’re being undercover for hound wolf right now, and they still want to kill zeno personally for the crime of EXISTING. but still……

ugh. can’t believe i got my hopes up for this game 😞
