Because, you know, they’re married and have known each other since they were little and played together and...sigh, everything could be so great. But yet, here they are, both sleeping with other people...Bella loving someone else...so no, they’re not perfect, but almost.

I know why not...because he’s married to her sister! However, if their parents had chosen for them to be married, they could probably make it work. But in general, Rod needs someone like Bella. He does think Narcissa is very pretty and if she wasn’t Bella‘s sister, he’d almost definitely sleep with her, but personality wise, Lucius and Narcissa are a far better match.
