Orison, Lorna, and their eldest son, Rodran, when he was a boy. A lot has changed for this family since then. Rodran is an adult now and every bit as lean as his spiral mother.
i have it bad for mordok and rodran heres a dump (assume this is all abt their gijinkas)
Since they both have long as fuck tails, whoever is walking behind usually wraps the others tail around their waist, esp on narrow roads or crowded areas that they've never been to before. Rodran ESPECIALLY loves to do this bc he likes to 🤏 pull Mordoks tail
They both hover above the ground. Per cirri lore, they dont want to disturb the earth
They have 6 locations that they travel to regularly in order to make & sell their larger swords, they rotate where they make the sword -> where they sell. For new locations, they stick to daggers/other small weapons (if ur clan has a blacksmith that wld love to share their space w these two lmk . . . They pay to rent the space + give a percentage of the profits ofc)
They often take trades for their smaller work! Especially Rodran if hes offered jewelry (or if Mordok is offered and knowd Rodran wld like it), so they both have several boxes that is just. Jewelry that they haul around. Bc Rodran loves it
They also get gifts from customers . . . Most of the time they say to give them consumables like food, or otherwise smth they can run out of, bc they Are still traveling even if they end up staying at one place for several months. They love all of the gifts though
Mordok has had. SEVERAL drsgons coming to him in hopes of becoming his apprentice. And every single time hes like UUUMMMM IDKKKK . . . . THATS SCARY. as if he didnt teach rodran how to make swords. Rodran on the otherhand has no trouble rejecting dragons, so he usually does it for Mordok, or on the rare occasion dragons ask Him hes immediately like absolutely not
They have inns that theyve been renting the same exact room from for years in their regular stops. In one of them, the room is essentially theirs, as the innkeeper always keeps it ready for them. They also have a stop where the blacksmith lets them stay in a room in their home ^_^ these dedicated rooms usually keep hold of stuff they cant always travel with, though it took a WHILE for them to trust these spaces like that
Mordok and Rodran havent returned to their clan since Rodran was exiled (abt 20~ yrs prior to present) . . . . While Rodran is perfectly content with never going back, Mordok often misses his own family, but he doesnt want to breech the topic of going back first. Rodran fears of his family finding out about their relationship, where Mordok is scared that Rodrans father would manage to pull him back in and force him into isolation (smth he did before, when Rodran initially ran away successfully) . . . . This has even led to neither of them accepting letters from the clan, though Mordok has a few sealed letters from his sister hes yet 2 read hidden in his belongings U_U
They very deliberately avoid the Windswept Plateau because of this, which has so far kept their names from gaining popularity in the flight, giving them a bit more coverage from their families finding out more than they should abt them.
Mordok's family wld honest 2 god be happy to find out how successful he is, and wouldn't care abt his relationship w Rodran beyond like "where are the grandkids" LOL. Tho i do think it wld be a shock to find out initially. Rodran's family on the otherhand. Would be EXTREMELY pissed. On part in that Rodran is no longer dueling (smth he was raised to do), and on the other the fact he's with Mordok of all dragons.
Rodran had originally been intended to marry the daughter of an allied clan before his exile who had also been an excelling duelist. He canceled the wedding literal days before it was supposed to happen though, leading to the first Huge Freakout from his family, and he tried to run away then . . . But ☝️ he had run away with a dragon from a clan that his own werent on such great terms with, on top of him not having any sort of prestiege. So his dad sniped the mf and brought rodran back. Now.
Motions to Mordok, though his family are successful swordsmiths within their own clan, Mordok had been the one to supposedly "end rodrans dueling career" by defeating him, and had always been on bad terms with rodran/his family previously . . . Rodrans dad very much holds the prior thing with an EXTREME grudge so um 🫶 even tho theyre from the same clan, rodrans father has enough ruling power even w/o his son that he could potentially harm Mordok. So rodran really doesnt want to go back.
Ok theres more but this is getting really long bye
