That’s a personal one for me, saddened to hear of #RogerAllers passing.

1994 animation #TheLionKing, which he co-directed, was my first film in a movie theatre. And probably it was the first movie for many kids in the 90s.

I fell in love with cinema since then.

It resonated with a whole generation and still does so till this day.

Since then, among Hollywood animations, only #Anastasia & #TheHunchbackOfNotreDame came close to hit me with such a strong impression, and even those don’t compare to the magic delivered by #TheLionKing.

I thank you Roger for being one of the creators of such a long lasting, iconic movie and for sharing your gift and mastery with us on that occasion, and somehow making part of our lives through it, forever!

In the movie, there was that line "Look at the stars. The great kings of the past look down on us from those stars”. Well, I’m sure you’re now one of those kings, looking down on us from those stars.
