Roger in the studio. Up at 6 AM, work till 3PM, Lunch, shower, then back to work. Now you know. Large painting on the easel depicts a modern housing development. “ Remember, you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else.” Margaret Mead
Detail of the Heriz Carpet for the painted room. It is painted with water soluble oil paints on canvas stretched and glued to 1/2 inch plywood. There is a 3/4 inch wooden frame underneath to keep the painting from warping. I am guilty of overbuilding everything.
This oil painting on canvas will be the centerpiece of a room filled entirely with paintings for a traveling exhibition. Visitors to the room walk between the 2 sections of the ‘carpet’, not on the painting.
My newest painting for the painted room. It’s 6 feet by 12 feet and painted with water soluble oils on canvas, stretched on plywood. It comes apart in sections for transport.

Some sketchbooks I made recently. All the books are made with 100% Arches & Fabriano rag paper. The smallest book is 2.5″ square and largest about 5x7″. Handy when you’re running out the door and need a sketchbook. I have a number of small watercolor paint boxes I take along for the ride too.
So pleased to be included in the 2019 National Watercolor Exhibition at the View in Old Forge, NY. It is one of the best shows in the country for watercolorists. My painting of the Funicular du Gloria in Lisbon was one of my best.
