tye didn’t hate birthdays , he just wasn’t a fan of it. before his dads adopted him , birthdays were filled with being alone in foster care and being neglected by the two people who were supposed to give him love and comfort. they gave him a toy and went back to the drugs and alcohol that took over their lives. sometimes they didn’t even give him anything. birthdays were bittersweet and reminded tye of his biological parents , whom he was taken from years ago. “ you really... didn’t have to get me anything , aunt rogue. “
