This was annoying. Like...Beyond annoying!! It was too sterile here. Too light. There was hardly any cover, and these robots were relentless! Shadow's shield was taking a pretty insane beating, all things considered...

Shadow took in his surroundings, taking note of the breaker box along the corridor. If he could kill the power, he could run for it and navigate the halls much easier...And stick out less!!

He had to take his time, which for the impatient shade, was easier said than done. He'd managed to cut the power to at least one corridor. Which was unfortunate for anyone navigating around him. But, the infrared detection system the robots were using was a lot easier to see now.

"Hm. Handy..." Shadow spoke to no one in particular as he yanked his sword out of the now broken breaker box. It'd be a matter of time before it was repaired. But, it wasn't time he planned on wasting, using the now pitch black darkness of the hall, he took off. He didn't have a destination in mind, but...It sure beat sitting down and potentially waiting in danger!

all that lives must return to the ground , zestial's element for the night is earth. but of course , not a particularly flourishing one. his cape features withering flowers losing their petals & the sharp thorns of unsuspecting roses drawing blood. he'll be wearing a floral cologne with notes of fresh lavender & tonka.

“...What on Hyrule are you wearing?”  He was one to talk.  “Nevermind that!!  There’s an acting gig, you should go with me!!”

How was he supposed to entice her though...  “They pay in exposure!  We’ll be famous!”

“ HEY , remy won that for you , don’ let it drag on the ground , it’ll get dirty , “ pietro pointed towards the ground where the giant stuffed animal was dragging. “ lemme-- , and you hold the food , hey , i might be fast but i DON’T have ten arms , “ pietro took the stuffed animal and gave her the plate of fried dough ( that was hers anyways ). and then luna BOLTED. “ -- don’t go so far i can’t see you ! “ he sighed , adjusting the oversized stuffed animal.

Escaping the moon was a bit of trial and error. But, blowing up an air duct to crawl to the lower level had done the trick. And that'd be a high Shadow'd ride for awhile.

In fact, he'd been gloating once again to Sephiroth when suddenly, the power to the city had been cut. He'd ignored the fact that there were giant weapons being built and now fired. But, this was the tipping point.

"I'm not the one who did that!" Immediately, he felt the need to attempt to flick a wisp from his finger, and surprisingly--that worked! Which typically only meant one thing...

...

He'd avoid that thought for now, and instead used the will-o-wisp for some ambient lighting.

"...Well, so much for peace and quiet."

Whether or not what he was doing was right, he never cared for details.  So long as it got done, what did the method of getting there matter?  Especially after his little scuffle with Cadence, he was sure to tread a bit more carefully, playing as more of the puppet master in the blocks where he’d placed his curse.  It did grow tiresome in the fray, anyhow.

Then, everything happened so suddenly.  His phone being hijacked and then the message played.  He didn’t know what to think of that.  No, wait, of course he did.  GPU played him for a damn fool, with their empty promises.  His hopes were low, but damn.

His betrayal to GPU would come to no one’s surprise.  He had to get on those light lifts to help fight the actual good fight.

Depleting the onslaught of monsters from what seemed to be the source, made the most sense to Octavo.  And even being graced with his fire spell back, thanks to choosing to realign with the city, it made things slightly easier.

Until he’d been hit in the back by his own spell, but from a different source, effectively knocking him down, but not out.

“You honestly didn’t think you’d won that easily, had you?”  The spellcaster announced, “You deny yourself a place of power for complacency.  Why go through all the trouble of what we did to give it up in the end?”

“Nggrhh...You fool...”  Octavo shakily got out, forcing himself to at least stand.  Though his center of gravity, he’d find was a bit off at the moment.   “I thought I’d defeated you back there...”

“The fight is never over, young Octavo, you know that as well as I do!”  Duh.  “Let’s dance.”

“Can I help you?”  Really, how hard was it for him to get anything done?  Even if that anything is just partaking in some soup.  A bard’s gotta eat, even if that bard isn’t in his body at current.  “There’s plenty of soup in that pot over there.  Get your own.”  Octavo wasn’t exactly pleasant, nor the sharing type.

This girl and falling might as well be best friends.  Because Octavo had managed to fall off of a rock wall he was trying to scale, and of course there was an audience.  There always was.

“No!  I’m fine, just keep staring, don’t worry about me!”  The sand was enough to cushion the fall, though it was rather unpleasant.
