While not as well known as the Voynich Manuscript, the Rohonc Codex is similar in that it was written by an unknown author in an unknown language. Â The illustrations range from battles to religious scenes from both Christian and Muslim traditions. Â Some of the symbols are used very rarely, indicating that they may be logographic like Chinese. Â The manuscript surfaced in the early 1800s in Hungary. Â Since then, it has been the subject of speculation.
