Hudson River and Sugarloaf Hill Here we see a southbound Amtrak Rohr turbo. I believe the train to be called the Adirondack; it’s just sped by the Manitou stop, serviced by Metro North, on its way to the city. Manitou, situated along the Hudson River, is about three miles south of Garrison Landing. The rail line here is former New York Central and the peak in the upper right corner is Sugarloaf Hill. The photographer is standing upon Bear Mountain Bridge and is using a fairly long lens. One image by Richard Koenig; taken in June of 1989.
