I was always one for dealing with people and getting them the help they need. Management, I have learned and have been learning is a COMPLETELY different situation. I’m learning and who better to ask for advice than my customers. In addition, this business is a two way street. We all get up in the morning, we all go to work. We all have a common goal to be successful. So these suggestions need to be something we can all work together on. For instance, coming to me saying, “give me cheaper prices and free shipping because XYZ Supplies does” doesn’t qualify. Think about that statement. What do WE offer that XYZ may not to the point that HAVE TO offer such cheap prices and free shipping because they offer nothing else. No knowledge, no support, no free classes, no service. Just price. We don’t want to just sell on price. We want to build relationships. We would love for you to come with us and give us an outline of what you need, what products you like, what you don’t like. What are your strengths, what are your weaknesses? We all have them. And hey, the end result of cheaper prices and free shipping may very well be the outcome, but when we go into this as that being the ONLY option, the other benefits of dealing with TyrrellTech ar put on the backburner. Getting Started..

There are many customers that come to me looking to buy equipment. Some have no equipment at all and are looking to get into the business. Some already have equipment but don't seem to be getting the most out of their purchase. This often leads me to believe that there are a lot of dealers that don't take the time to educate their customers on anything more than the "best price". The amount of frustration this brings me is endless and truth be told, I will always try to give these deals my best effort but if after a while it seems I am getting nowhere, sometimes you need to let that deal go and let them learn the hard way. Heres an example. Recently a customer came to me on behalf of his company looking for a Roland printer. We analyzed his business needs and made some suggestions. The point of these suggestions would normally lead to questions and feedback from the customer. However it went into back and forth with 10 different scenarios with features that didn't relate to anything his company did or could see themselves doing in the future. It shifted into saving pennies and when the customer came to our Demo Day to actually SEE the units firsthand before buying (my suggestion), the first thing they ask is if I would match a quote they got from a competitor. Now..i'm sure people will say "Whats wrong with getting the best price?" A lot. Theres a HUGE difference between getting the best price and the best DEAL. If you want to walk into my showroom and get $2000 off a printer, leave with it, call my support line 100times and sit and watch the machine print with half assed quality because you don't have the training, support and education behind you. Thats fine. At least you'll get a good price! A good deal comes with everything you need before and after the sale. I hear customers say how reps visit them all the time. Now I am always one for seeing a customers operation, but I personally don't believe anyone should buy the machine without seeing it first. Not to mention, reps will stop in constantly BEFORE the sale. Let me know how often they come in AFTER the sale. I'm not one to go out and give a customer all the valuable information and they go run off and buy it elsewhere. I'm not an idiot. Ive turned away deals before and watched people come back asking for my support when the dealer they bought from "cant get there" So please don't enlightenment for anger. What I am trying to get across here is, buy the right machine from the right company the first time. TyrrellTech may not be the best fit for your needs, but only you can determine that. Rest assured, we don't play the sales games. Its realistic approaches to the industry and your company's needs. Nothing more, nothing less.
