There are three kinds of people in the world. People who make things happen. People who watch things happen and people who say, “What happened?” And Finch was currently asking himself, ‘What just happened?”. It was pretty bizarre that Mia had addressed Oliver with familiarity and inclusiveness, which made him question their relationship further. From his point of view, it felt like they possessed a love/hate bond from the small glimpse of exchange in words but he could simply be jumping to conclusions as he was presently heating up from indignation. Oliver Turner was known to be in the Serpents as a forerunner for the gang without questions asked and Finch had helped on occasion to do errand boy jobs. This is how both of them created a silent armistice agreement during their deliveries to prevent any unwanted causalities. However, Finch had broken that truce when he accidentally messed up on a dispatch that involved cannabis that needed to be delivered to the North Side by midnight but he had unintentionally placed it in the wrong sector. The buyer caught flight of the situation and they were demanding a punishment be organized for the member that screwed up. Finch didn’t know what was in store for him. He had attended school like any other habitual day until Oliver stealthily appeared behind him to pummel the living lights out of the defenseless blonde by repeatedly smashing his face into the lockers. The one-sided fight was later intervened by Miss Grundy after a crowd of students kept egging on the brawl, which had been recorded with cellphones to capture the unforeseen hostile act. Oliver deliberately clobbered Finch as a warning for future reference, because he had taken the blame when he didn’t have to and now the Serpents were going to teach Oliver a lesson in place of Finch. Till this day, Finch doesn’t know why he got beaten up and has ever since had beef with mcfucking ginger.
Oliver roughly gritted his teeth to hold back from retaliating, because deep down he knew Mia wanted retributive justice. Yet, acting oblivious to their state of affairs and dumbfounded about a past relationship that he considered void was part of his constructive act that denoted of his reputation. Her sudden outlash was to be expected but he wasn’t mentally prepared for it as he planned to disregard the problem altogether. But upon listening to vital information that Mia was withholding with vindictive intentions had sent Oliver over the roof. It was something he wasn’t willing to accept without a proper fight.
“WAIT! STOP!” Oliver yelled, thrusting Finch harshly to the side in order to rush inside the house. This action caused Mia to be pushed backwards into the shattered glass that Oli wasn’t made aware of. He quickly gripped Mia by both her arms with immense strength he wasn’t aware was being inflicted. “What did you hear?! Tell me! This isn’t some game we’re playing! She could be in trouble!” His hands had tightened with anticipation, wanting her to answer him in pure honesty even though he didn’t deserve it. “You’re a smart girl, I know you are! Just help me out. You love me right? Then do this for me!” He pleaded, tears building up in fear of losing Violet. Her car was found on the outskirts of Riverdale with her purse and cellphone still residing inside. Oliver softened his grasp as he stared at her. “Please”
Clearly not expecting the situation before his eyes occur, Finch had taken a while to allow the whole thing to process before he reacted accordingly. He was not one to meddle into personal affairs, but, this clearly involved his childhood friend Mia who appeared to be mortified by the person who beat him up about a month ago. It’s the pretentious asshole that he despised since day one-- mcfucking ginger boy. Without a moments hesitation, Finch grew the pair of balls he needed to immediately get in Oliver’s face and yank his disgusting hands off Mia. “Dude! What the hell are you doing?! Don’t you see she’s injured you dumbass!” His voice carried the anger he felt boiling inside his body. It was coursing at a rate that almost made him see red.
Taking the chance to push Oliver out of the way, he turned around and quickly scanned Mia’s body for any other sort of injury besides her most obvious one-- Her foot. “Are you okay? He didn’t grab you too hard did he?” Before he even bothered to hear her response, his eyes landed on the already yellowing bruises that were forming on her arms. Oh, did this trigger him even more. He didn’t even care about morality at this point. He wanted to get his hands on Oliver for even laying one finger on Mia after what he did to her.
Deafening silence overtook them all as Finch heard police sirens in the distance and peered over his shoulder to look at the stunned Oliver, this only boosted his inner ego at the sight. But he didn’t want to admit to that right now. “Ever heard of a sociopath, Turner? I don’t mean to alarm you but your superficial pathetic charm is a little suffocating.” He was fully aware that the police sirens were heading towards Oliver’s house for questioning. Violet’s parents were filthy rich and that meant getting the cops involved before the 24 hour missing standard procedure could easily be overlooked.
