On the Family

//Okay, so, I welcome RP with a lot of different people, but in the interests of clarity I will say this: My default Finwë-family features Orodreth as Angrod's son, and Gil-galad as Orodreth's son. It features Finwë having two daughters and three sons. Adjustments according to 'verse may or may not be made, depending on the magnitude of the change.

Both OCs and canon characters with headcanoned families are requested to ask me first, before establishing a tie in an RP. I do not wish to be pushed into accepting new family members for Finwë.

Additions and familial links will be accepted or denied on a case-by-case basis, if you contact me about them.

(Extra children of Finwë need not apply. Sorry, but I'll tell you that right out. Ditto for sudden parents/siblings.)

Schrödinger's King

//To clarify a few things about this blog, since it's about time I did so.

This blog has multiple continuities, and Finwë is in effect Schrödinger's King, both alive and dead until you interact with him.

Main settings are as follows:

Pre-death: Before the whole pile of catastrophes in the Silmarillion.

In Mandos: Speaking from Mandos, either to his fellow fëar there or to others via the wonders of Tumblr-RP. (Seriously, don't look at it too closely in the latter case. XD)

Reborn: AUs in which Finwë has returned to the world of the living, either because it is a continuity in which Míriel still did not desire to return, a continuity in which her entrance into Vairë's service was deemed sufficient removal from the world of the living, or because everybody has returned in Arda Mark Two and everybody is just gonna have to deal with restored Finwë. (Or just plain 'he's back, okay? It's tumblr, don't look at it too closely.')

Within those settings the blog is still somewhat multiverse; some things are specifically belonging to particular story arcs or AUs, and likely cannot coexist in the same timeline. (Also because a number of you lovely people are playing the same character and deserve Finwë's attention as though you are that character, not just mysteriously one of three or four of that character.) But some things do persist within timeline-compatible RPs.
