Seedlings by Lynne Blundell "Gazing inward Towards the soil of the soul Little seeds of self Not yet grown...
What forgotten characters Lay there dormant ? Nestling awhile For their moment ...
Waiting for warmth and coddling Perfect levels of Light Bedding down, shooting forth into Life.
The seedlings will come Cute and proud with yearning, Gifting hope, go on, Gaze inward, keep searching.”
From the Artist: "Unique art and poetry which explores how we can turn inward and seek the places within us that we might have forgotten. I draw an analogy between aspects of our characters or lives that we have left dormant as being like seeds that sit there waiting for our attention. The idea behind this poem is that we can become lost in the many roles we play within the world and forget all that we are and have been. I hope that this encourages us to be silent, look within and find aspects of ourselves that can be brought to life again. For me this meant acknowledging my creative and playful child and fostering a sense of fun; turning towards her and embracing what she needs.”
