My art 1 year apart

Ive gotten way better at digital art, and rendering/coloring
And my artstyle has changed a bit, for the better i think tho
The things ive envyd from other artists are showing up in my art! Im so happy seeing the progress ive made over the last year!

Wait until the rest of the prologue is made. This ones pretty self explanatory, but i would then post the prologue in one update and continue with chapter one page by page each week-ish. This is my original plan and what ill go with if nobody sees this

Art project i just finished!
The scouts and the gem/Roljin characters!
The gem was never meant to be found. An emerald at the center of all the inexplicable things in the world.
For the longest time, the land that has come to be known as Roljin /ɹɔLjɪn/ was a place where magic was seamingly innate in almost everything. Each creature and object was affected differently. Those who learned to harness these powers were known as wizards, though all others still had magic.
This was accepted as a fact of life, just the way things were. Until one day, someone, somewhere, somehow, came across the gem and magic was gone for all but those close to it.
In the decades and centuries to follow, the time where all had magic was now myth, most simply did not believe in its existence at all. Through the years the gem switched hands a few times, but each who had it rose to power in some way or another. People started to notice the commonality between these powerful figures, and went after the gem themselves. War after war broke out over the emerald. And in one battle on a day seemingly no different from those before it, the gem was successfully stolen and this time it shattered. Six shards now lay on the ground.
Each shard was hidden in a different location. One was further shattered and has since been distributed across the land as/in various "magical" objects. The other 5 have stayed hidden.
Since the shattering of the gem, magic has slowly been returning to the land. many many years have passed and the gem is now just a legend, barely considered truth. Recently something changed, the magic has drained from the feilds of dengel and in other locations seems to be growing in power. Something is wrong.
