Cool! So let me indulge you more, tell me bout Scott?
So Scott, the lucky bastard, is probably the only one who had a relatively normal childhood. He grew up in Squall’s End just like the rest of the crew, and went to Fredbear’s Family Diner a lot as a child, falling in love with the animatronic characters. After the place is bought out and replaced with Freddy Fazbear’s he continues to frequent the pizzeria (Scott is unaware of the reason why the name was sold). He developed a strong attachment to the Foxy animatronic and pegged him as his favorite.
His very first job at the age of 16 is working the prize counter at Freddy’s. Even after the deaths of six children inside his workplace, he refuses to believe that danger could ever come to be inside a place he holds so sacred. His anxiety starts to get worse from this point on, his stutter increasing and his naivety getting the better of him.
When the pizzeria is closed down, Scott is promised a job as head security guard when they reopen. Scott eagerly accepts the offer and is told to start interviewing people for night shift positions. Although initially confused as to why the pizzeria would need guards on the night shift, he puts out the work for hire order and gets a hit almost immediately. He holds an interview with Vincent, who sexually harasses him on the spot. Despite this, the two become fast friends, Scott hiring him for the position without so much as blinking.
Scott gives into Vincent very easily, agreeing to his request to be switched to the day shift after only night. Another application for the position comes in, and Scott hires Jeremy to fill in. In an attempt to make Jeremy’s job easier, he calls him each night to give him a rundown of what he should be doing.
Upon learning that Vincent is the most likely culprit of the crimes taking place through the franchise’s history, Scott feels betrayed by his first and only friend in life. After five more children disappear and the building is set to close once again, he hastily changes Jeremy to the day shift to run one last birthday party. When Jeremy is bitten by Mangle during the day and falls into a coma, Scott blames himself for the tragedy, telling himself that it’s his fault for telling him to work that day.
Scott falls into a deep depression after this. However, he continues to work at the restaurant when they finally reopen, resuming his role as head security guard, his blind faith in the company slowly disappearing as the years pass. He is told to record training tapes for new employees regarding the recently renovated spring lock suits. This time, when employees are reported being severely injured inside the suits, Scott doesn’t feel surprised anymore. Neither is he surprised when the night guards start falling dead as soon as their hired. He can’t find himself capable of dropping his belief that everything will be okay, however.
He is thus stuck working the night shift in between each consecutive guard. After hiring Mike, he decided to record messages the week prior so as to aid him and hopefully keep him alive. Despite having become second nature to him by this point, he is caught by the animatronics on the Thursday before Mike is scheduled to start. He is forcefully stuffed into the main Freddy animatronic and drifts in and out of consciousness for the next few days before finally dying from suffocation.
