Imagine you have multiple piercings and he’s OBSESSED with them. He thinks they look so absolutely beautiful on you. The stack is so uniquely you somehow, catered to your tastes, and the different studs and earrings you choose to decorate them with reflect your personality and your mood that day. Like on days you’re feeling especially girly, there’ll be diamonds, butterflies, more dangly pieces, but on days you’re feeling a bit more relaxed or not as girly, you’d have coloured stones, even spiders or plain hoops in them. Ever since he started dating you, he’d learned that you cared for your piercings meticulously. Once a week, usually every Sunday, you’d take out all the jewelry and take a shower, paying special attention to your ears, and then you’d use piercing floss to clean out each one. He didn’t even know piercing floss was a thing! But one day he asked if he could do it, just because he wanted to be part of the process, and eventually it became a routine. Every Sunday you’d take out all your jewelry, and he would help you clean each piercing and put it all back. He absolutely adored it when you asked him to pick a stack for you, or asked for help with closing one of the backings. Mostly because he got to touch you and he loved feeling needed, but also because this was so you. He knew your piercings reflected your entire personality, so he adored the thought of getting to choose how you dressed your piercings. And the BUTTERFLIES he’d get when you walked out wearing earrings he picked. Especially if he bought them for you! Ugh, this man is on his knees!! He thinks you're the coolest person ever to have customized your character without caring what other people thought. If anyone ever brings up anything about piercings around him, his first response is to refer them to you about which ones are painful, easily healing, or difficult. Mainly, he just wants a reason to bring you up, though.
he's the type of guy that when you're both drunk he swears he's not going to fuck you, but as soon as you both get home he kisses you, hungry, until you're both against the door of your shared room, he opens the door with his free hand and when you're coming in he lifts you off the ground and kiss you violently.
"Just the tip, yeah?" he asks as he pulls down your pants and spread the tip between your folds, once he's fucking the tip slowly in and out of you, but he can't wait anymore. "Fuck it" he grunts before pushing his cock all the way inside of you, making you squirm under his body.

“There is only one bed? I should’ve paid more in advance.”
Chamber immediately is trying to think of ways to buy a new bed - even if you’re in the middle of nowhere.
It’s easier for him to buy comfort and solve it that way then have things be awkward with his co-worker.
Thankfully, you tell him it’s more than fine and you can each stick to your respective sides. Afterall, it had been a long mission day.
Chamber does stick to his side like quite the gentleman. Except he keeps feeling you turn and toss in bed. He slowly moves a hand out.
“You’re okay? You seem to be swimming in the sheets.”
His cadence made you laugh as you only nodded, telling him your limbs weren’t shutting down after such a battle.
“Ah. I see. Do you.. Need help?” He opened his arm up giving you one opportunity.
Once snuggled in, Chamber waits till you fall asleep. But once you do? He’s out like a light. He appreciates closeness like this given he rarely indulges in it himself.
You were more than worn out - dead tired. Well, thankfully not dead, given the mission you were on only an hour ago. The team had arrived at a cabin lodging in backwoods Alaska for some much deserved rest. Chamber and you had been assigned as bunk partners for the night which you didn’t mind. The man was dramatic sometimes but he knew boundaries and was very respectful.
“What? Oh non.” You heard the French mans voice drain as he walked in the room. The beds - or well, bed - had been tiny. The room was not suitable for two people.
“Maybe I may buy another room? I cannot have this for either of us.” Chamber turned to exit the room but your palm stopped him.
“You heard the clerk. These were the only rooms they had.” You could feel the gravel in your throat, your body one blink away from collapsing. You could honestly care less if you had to share - you just needed sleep.
“I-Are you sure?” Chamber questioned as he slowly walked back into the room. You could only manage a nod.
The bed sheets were scratchy and the mattress old. The fiery jolts of pain still zapping through your muscles like subtle reminders of earlier.
“You are very tired but you cannot rest?” Chamber’s voice came out from his side of the bed.
“Very astute of you.” You growled out before you could stop yourself. The fatigue breaking any walls of manners you usually had.
“Pardon. I didn’t mean it like that. I meant.. Are you okay?” He reworded his question. His hand slowly settling onto the side of your arm.
You just shrugged. You didn’t have the energy to put into words how your body worked but you also knew you weren’t okay.
“May I help you?” Chamber’s voice was closer now, his head above your form as he stared down. You expected the rush of nervousness but it never came. The exhaustion beating whatever you could’ve felt.
“Sure.” You murmured, not sure what to expect.
Chamber’s hands wrapped slowly around your side. His nimble fingers worked soothing patterns in the fabric of your shirt.
Only after a while did you feel your body slowly start shutting down. The warmth and repetitiveness putting you in some kind of trance.
“Goodnight, Chamber.”
“Bonne nuit.”
Yoru :
“You sleep on the floor.” is the first thing you heard out of Yoru’s mouth as you walked in.
He’s such a gentleman isn't he? (Absolutely not.)
Anyways, he doesn’t fully mean it. Eventually he comes out ‘allowing’ you to sleep next to him.
“As long as you don’t move I won’t stab you. Now go to sleep.”
He won’t initiate any contact but if your foot even brushes him then he accepts his fate - not without a muttered curse or two.
Eventually he gets done with the antics and pulls your body back onto his.
“You’re lucky.” is all he whispers before he passes out, a smug smirk on his face despite hating the one bed situation.
“You’ll sleep on the floor.” Yoru grunted, his eyes narrowing as he walked into the room.
You didn’t even have to step in to know what he meant. The small lodgings that the team had stopped at was janky to say the least. Which meant that you and your ‘bunk partner’ Yoru had one bed.
Your eyes trailed over to Yoru as you stepped in giving him a look that could only be described as done. You didn’t even have to say anything as your energy got across to him.
“Fine. As long as you don’t move I won’t have to stab you.” His hand flicked over to the left side of the bed.
It wasn’t long before the both of you were settled awkwardly into the sheets. Yoru’s breath and the old radiator was the only thing you could hear.
“Goodnight.” You stretched out, your foot pushing and accidentally tangling with Yoru’s. Much to your surprise he didn’t push away or make a comment. The man only let out a grunt, his body slowly inching towards you as every minute passed.
Eventually he’s tired with the long game and tugs you into him by the waist. He doesn’t give any reason - Yoru rarely does.
“You’re lucky”, is the only thing you heard as your eyes fluttered shut.
Indeed, you were lucky.
Gekko :
“Oh! Sleepover time!”
Gekko is actually a bit excited to share the bed. He’s always openly affectionate with his friends - and you for that matter.
He asks if it’s okay if you guys shared it, which of course it was. He then proceeds to ask if you’d be fine with “completely normal cuddle time”.
He’s awkward but enthusiastic. Once you say it’s okay he hops into bed and cuddles his face right into your shoulder. His arms are wrapped around your waist like you’ll fly away if he lets go.
“We deserved this after earlier! Wait- how do you still smell good? This is criminal.”
Gekko was practically jumping when you two got in the old hotel room. You honestly didn’t know where he stored all that energy - definitely after such a grueling mission.
“Sleepover time! LETS GO!!!” He fistbumped the air as he made his way towards the bed. His eyes fogged for a second before he turned back to you. “That’s fine, right? You’re chill with this?”
You could only laugh. That was one of the many things you liked about Gekko. He was a joyful person but he didn’t let that overtake manners.
“Of course it’s fine.” You sat down on the edge of the bed, slowly unlacing your boots.
Gekko had flopped onto the other side, already beginning to crawl over. His arm slowly wrapped around your waist as his face pressed into your back.
“Can we.. cuddle? I think we deserve it, ya’ know?” His voice was slightly nervous which only made your heart warm even more.
“Sure.”
“Yes!” He paused as his hand wrapped tighter around you. You could feel his nose crinkling against your back. “How do you still smell good? I smell like a barn..!”
“What’s new?” You joked as you leaned back to slip him beside you. He only threw his hands up in mock anger.
“This is criminal!”
Sage :
Sage immediately sees the bed and feels bad for both of you.
“I’m sorry. I wasn’t aware it was one bed. Will you be able to get sleep like this?”
She doesn’t really ask if sharing the bed is okay. She just thinks of it like the mission. Not that she doesn’t care for your boundaries - she absolutely does!
The moment you both got into bed she gets tense. Not from the proximity, just from the stresses of the day.
She sits up a bit to lotion her legs and arms. She usually has a set routine at home.
She of course notices you staring as well.
“Would you like some?” She pours some of the lotion on your limbs with a smile. Her hands were warm as she rubbed them in.
You hadn’t expected her to go above and beyond but you weren’t complaining. Given her powers she always knew how to be soothing.
In no time the two of you were asleep, hands brushing together in the middle and feet tangled up in the sheets.
Sage always had a routine before bed. She needed it given how her body felt after rejuvinating everyone else - along with the stresses of organizing missions.
Tonight was no different.
Despite sharing a bed, she found her limbs aching for lotion and the usual roll out. She had hoped that you wouldn’t think of her odd but she had to do it.
Her hands rubbed the lavender lotion against her skin, the aches and pains dulling from the tedious mission.
She looked back as she felt eyes on her. Your eyes.
“Would you like some?” She finished with her own legs, her hands turning towards yours. You could only nod as you pushed up.
You had expected her to plop some lotion in your hands and tell you to rub it in. Nope.
She had started rubbing deep circles into your calves, your body relaxing immediately.
“Lavender helps with sleep. Don’t resist it.” She whispered softly, her hands making their rounds before she settled next to you.
The sides of your hands brushed as she moved her feet to tangle against yours under the sheets. She only gave you a soft smile as her pinky intertwined with yours.
“Night night.” Her voice cooed, her glowing eyes finally shutting.
“Night, Sage. Thank you.” You whispered back, your pinky tightening slightly.
Miks was at first curious about your music tastes. But the more the time passed, the more he realized that it was in fact deeper than that. As for Gekko, he always had crush a on you, and always acted on it. Miks' inquiries about your music tastes got him curious too. After all, wasn't music also a tool to bring people closer ?
Word count : ~ 3, 107
Reading time : approximately 13 min
Miks approximately knew the music tastes of every agent of the protocol and what made them appreciate a music over another. He knew for instance how Iso loved underground C-rap or how Yoru had a soft spot for Japanese hip hop. He knew how Raze loved latino sonority that encouraged her hips to dance in her music while working in her workshop or how Gekko loved low basses that echoed in his bones when he lied down on his bed or when he played basketballs with his crew.
But when it came to you, he absolutely had no idea. It was quite ironic since you often wore headphones. It was even quite rare to see you without them. Yet, you never shared a playlist and he never managed to see it, and had never been able to see it over your shoulder when you chose a music before training or working out.
When he arrived at the protocol, the first thing he wondered about you was your music taste. When he asked Clove, they admitted that they had no idea. He then asked Gekko, whom he quickly befriended upon arriving in the protocol, and even him had no idea despite the fact that he had quite the crush on you.
When he asked you directly, you paused whatever activity you were doing to deeply think about his question.
“Hm. I don’t know,” you shrugged.
Miks was slightly taken aback but not deterred. It wasn’t rare that people were attracted to a style without knowing anything of it.
“Can I see your playlist so I can have an idea ?”
That simple question got you protectively holding your phone against your chest while smiling nervously.
“I’d prefer if not. I’m...quite shy about the songs I listen to.”
After hanging out with you for quite some time, he agreed with the fact that you indeed were very shy about your music. The only exception seemed to be Wingman. You had no problem lending your headphones to the yellow enthusiastic creature. Miks noticed how Wingman sometimes bobbed his head along whatever melody he was listening to or lied down motionless on your lap, a surprisingly wise expression on his face.
“He seems to like what he's listening to,” Gekko gently nudged your arms as he sat down next to you in the VLT/R.
You looked down at the small radivore creature and fondly caressed his little belly.
“He looks like he’s about to drop some riddle and say some proverb,” you snorted.
Miks, who was sat on your other side, let out a small chuckle.
“So the music he’s listening to must be calm enough to not overstimulate him.”
You immediately noticed the slight inflection in his voice that suggested that he was mentally taking notes.
“What’s this obsession with trying to find out what music I’m listening to ?”
His smile widened slightly, highlighting the charms in his hazel eyes. It was a thing you’ve noticed. Him and Gekko were quite alike. No wonder they grew close quickly. This attractive light that was filled on the joy they procured to others with their charms and passion was what lured you so easily towards them. Yes, you definitely had a type.
“Knowing your tastes in music would help me make you a playlist.”
Your eyes squinted slightly at his words, as if you were trying to decipher a hidden motive in them. And then, you remembered that Miks had a heart too pure and actions too genuine to hide any malicious intent.
“And why...do you want to make me a playlist ?” you asked with a confusion tainted with wariness.
On your lap, Wingman jumped on his feet and started to wiggle his little hips. It didn't go unnoticed by Miks.
“So that in some way I can give you a boost of motivation and energy,” he rubbed his neck and his eyes exposed a shy eagerness that almost made you swoon. “I would like to mix some songs you like so you could listen to them while training, or during missions.”
“He’s very good at this, you know,” Gekko approved. “He managed to do a mashup of ‘Timeless’ by Ambar Lucid and ‘Caution’ by Cuco. Here, listen.”
He caught you off-guard by suddenly leaning in your personal space, putting an ear-bud in your ear, the pad of his fingers gently brushing your skin. Your heart had the jump your body didn't do. Gekko’s chocolate eyes filled your vision, smiling, while his breathing danced on the skin of your face. As you started to admire each freckles that decorated his warming visage, you felt two gentle yet very present hands on your shoulders and a warm breath against your ear.
In the corner of your sight, you saw Miks’ hazel eyes staring at you as his chin settled on your shoulder.
“What do you think ?” Miks asked.
You totally forgot that you were supposed to be attentive to the tune playing in your ear. Flustered, you diverted your gaze and your eyes met Wingman’s who would have raised an eyebrow if he had any. Meanwhile, Miks and Gekko exchanged a knowing look. It seemed like they had more in common than expected and shared the same tastes they had in people.
“Do you like it ?” Miks brought your attention back with mischief in his voice. “Did I pass the test ?”
The music was in fact good to your ear, the low basses of ‘Caution’ and the soft eeriness of Ambar Lucid’s voice was quite the soothing mix.
“I don’t know what test you’re talking about but yeah, I do like it.”
“Told you he was good !” Gekko grinned.
“If you want,” Miks leaned back a little, giving you a bit of space while his hands remained gently on your shoulders, “once we get back to HQ, we can go to my room so I can mix some mashups for you.”
You raised an eyebrow at him, letting out a throat noise that implied that you weren't fooled.
“Is this another one of your strategies to know what songs I listen to ?”
“Is it working ?”
Gekko leaned back as well, but his body was still turned towards yours.
“I’m curious about your music tastes too. You seem to vibe with the music each agent listen to without any problem but what about you ?”
It was something Miks had also noticed. You seemed fine with anything you heard, but he still wondered what you actually listened to. Stealing a glance at Wingman, he momentarily felt quite envious of the small creature who was currently break dancing on your lap, your headphones still on his small head.
“Alright,” you finally conceded. “But no mocking my music choices.”
Miks and Gekko exchanged a look, blinking in almost bafflement.
“Who does that ?” Gekko said with an innocent confusion.
“I don’t joke with the music people like,” Miks reassured you. “I cook with it. That’s different.”
Somehow, these words eased some of the nerves that started to shake at the thought of sharing what you liked to listen to. Not all of it, but it was enough for the moment. Plus, the eagerness these two were showing reminded you of puppies.
And who didn't like puppies ? Not you.
When the VLT/R finally arrived back at the headquarters, you followed the boys in Miks room, Wingman comfortably settled on your shoulder, bopping his head. You were quite surprised of all the vinyl records and mixing consoles in his room. You knew he was a DJ before he joined the protocol. Seemed like he fitted the stereotype. You sat down on the bed, Gekko soon joining your side.
“Your room looks like a music shop,” you hummed.
“I thought the same thing the first time I came here,” Gekko snickered.
Miks sat down on his desk chair, grab his pc then rolled his seat in your direction.
“Well I have to fit the job’s description, don’t I ?” he winked. “So ? Do you have any artist or style in mind for a mashup ?”
At the gentle expectation in his eyes and words, your nerves started to spike again. Feeling your nervousness, Wingman took off your headphones to put it around your neck. He then patted your shoulder with an encouraging gurgling noise. You fondly played with his little cheeks, chuckling and completely oblivious of the two envious stare on the small creature who seemed to turn yellower.
“I have a question, though,” you cleared your throat and looked back at Miks.
“I’m all ears.”
You pressed your lips together and took a deep breath. Gekko pressed an encouraging hand on your back and gave you a warm smile.
“Why wanting to make me a playlist so bad ? Is there a reason in particular or is it just your DJ pride being touched ?”
There was something in his gaze that was suddenly so intense you almost felt intimidated. Unbeknownst to you, Miks felt almost defeated that he couldn't provide you with musical stim. Since he did it with every agent of the protocol (even Viper who wouldn't admit that she listened to her personal playlist in her lab) except for you, he thought at first that it was indeed his DJ pride. Then Gekko talked a lot about you, next he met you and understood why the Angelino initiator loved you so much. He already created some prod while recollecting the sight of you and Gekko laughing as you played video games together. His will to give you a playlist personally crafted by him was so big he almost felt guilty during your last mission that he couldn't boost your moral personally in some way.
“Is it bad that I want to be one of the reasons why you keep fighting ?”
Gekko perked at his words. He understood the feeling greatly. Since he arrived at the protocol, you have been nothing less than welcoming and supportive. You helped him filled the gap he had with other agents, encouraged him to take breaks when he was too stubborn to take any, took care of him when he was injured and kept him company the rare times his thoughts became too loud. Wanting so bad to know about your music taste was a bit more than simple curiosity. It was a desire to be closer to you.
Gekko wasn’t fooled. He suspected that Miks’ feelings for you started to bloom into something else than friendship. But instead of feeling an ounce of jealousy, he was glad that someone like him was around you. Gekko suddenly remembered you asking them to not mock you about your tastes in music.
“Hey, don’t be nervous,” he gently wrapped an arm around your shoulders and pulled you closer. “We would never mock you about what you like. Why would you even think that in the first place ?”
“Yeah I know you’re far from being assholes,” you shyly smiled. “I...uh...once had a boyfriend who was making fun of me for listening to musicals and movie sound tracks.”
“I’m glad he’s an ex.”
“Kurac* !” Miks hissed with an hostility that didn't match his usual lightheartedness. “Forget him, he was dick.”
“Yes he was,” you nodded.
“Did he at least get beat up ?”
The three of you (yes three, don’t forget Wingman) looked at him with surprise, but Miks kept looking at you expectantly.
“Well, if it can reassure you, his mother gave him quite the scolding, if you know what I mean. When she discovered...uh...how hurtful her own son can be, she disowned him.”
They both noticed how you let out some details but didn't comment on it. They were here to create the perfect musical boost for you, not to criticize you.
“Win for the mom,” Gekko approved.
Wingman saluted and applauded. Miks nodded approvingly and opened the pc on his lap.
“Anyway, we’re here to make music, aren’t we ?” the Croatian controller’s carefree tone came back. “Do you have any songs in mind when it comes to a mashup ?”
You nodded, yet a very clear shadow of uncertainty was still present on your traits.
“I do, but I’m pretty sure they’re not mashup-able.”
But Miks just confidently grinned.
“Challenge accepted. Bring it.”
You looked back at Gekko who still had his arm around your shoulders. He calmly winked at you.
“I was thinking about Jamie Mercato’s version of ‘Freeze your Brain’ from Heathers the musical and Davy Jones’ theme from Pirates of the Caribbean.”
Miks immediately took notes. It was indeed quite a challenge. As soon as he opened the software on his pc, different ideas yet many obstacles faced him. Your request could almost be considered as rude. But he was fine with that. He immediately entered the zone despite Wingman hopping on his shoulder.
“Oh I love this movie !” Gekko perked up. “We should watch it at our next movie marathon with the others. What’s your favorite movie of the franchise ?”
Meanwhile, you and Gekko casually chatted on his bed. The initiator smoothly invited you to lay down with a light tug on your shoulders and you just followed the movement. Gekko loved hearing you yapping. As you kept debating on why which movie was better than another, Miks would sometimes broke out of his focus and glanced at you two, and he would notice how close your faces got. He was somewhat surprised of the feeling of envy that overwhelmed him at the sight.
“I need a shower,” you suddenly said. “Is it okay if I use yours ?”
Miks had a small jump as he blinked out of his daze. He heard Wingman comfortably settled on his head snickering as he could feel Gekko amused gaze on him.
“I don’t mind !” he shook his head. “Clean towels are in the first drawer. You could also borrow clothes if you want.”
Gekko’s eyes widened in surprise.
“Oh thanks ! That’s sweet.” you smiled. Once you took what you needed, you winked at the three of them. “I won’t drown, promise.”
The second the door of the bathroom closed, Gekko turned towards Miks.
“Man, how are you so smooth ?”
“Ha ! Don’t act like I didn't see you earlier !” Miks laughed. “For an instant, I thought you two were about to kiss.”
“If only.”
The Croatian controller noticed the dreamy tone of the Angeleno initiator.
“They’re definitely more comfortable with you around,” Miks calmly said.
“Huh ? They’re more comfortable with you !”
Wingman clapped in his small hands to grab their attention then pointed at the both of them at the same time. In Wingman’s point of view, the both of them were good for you. The radivore creature always noticed how your movements seemed lighter every time one of them was around. The sight often made his small heart feel warm. The two agents looked at him and stayed quiet for a while. Miks' focus then returned on his pc, finalizing the song, and Gekko lied back down on the bed.
“You’re maybe right, Wings,” Gekko said after a while.
It felt good to believe so.
Right on queue, you finally exited the bathroom, rubbing a towel on your head. You were wearing a comfy oversized hoodie and a short too big for you that you had tightened well around your waist.
“Phew ! Felt good !” you sighed. “I really needed that !”
Gekko sat up and patted the space on the mattress between his thighs.
“Come here ! I’ll help you dry your hair.”
“Thanks, that’s sweet !”
There weren't a single hint of hesitation in your movements as you sat down between his legs. Wingman shot him with a ‘I told you so’ look as he happily dried your hair. His grin was so wide his cheeks almost hurt. Miks observed the two of you fondly. The sight not only warmed his heart, it also inspired him for some music later. Speaking of music, after hours of locking in, he finally managed to finish your challenge.
“I got the first music of your playlist !” He grabbed your attention by standing from his chair and moving in your direction. Once close enough, he leaned down toward you, one of his knee anchoring in the mattress between your thighs for balance. He then smoothly slid two earbuds in your ears. “I’m open to any type of criticism. Especially if it’s from you,” he winked.
The music flooded in your ears and you momentarily felt lost. Confusion submerged you when you realized that the lyrics of ‘Freeze Your Brain’ didn't feel as relatable as they used to be. Same for the heavily emotional tune of Davy Jones’ theme. You comfortably leaned back against Gekko’s chest as your brows furrowed, your gaze anchored into Miks’ who didn't waver his. The music still moved you, though. It felt like meeting with your old self who themselves looked up at you, reassured that they would have a better future despite everything they were enduring. You probably felt that way because, for a rare time in your life, you were currently warmly surrounded with people who really cared about you. To hell your ex-boyfriend saying that you would always end up alone. The two men with you silenced his demeaning voice which was deeply rooted in your head simply with their presence. Even Wingman enthusiastic and encouraging presence shrank his voice.
When the music stopped, you let out a long, emotionally charged sigh.
“Do you like it ?” Miks asked softly.
You took a deep breath.
“Clove were right,” you said with a notable awe. “You really are a bard.”
“I told you he was good !” Gekko affectionately shook your shoulders.
Miks let out a relaxed sigh he didn't even know he was holding.
“Challenge completed ! I can make you more music if you want. It doesn't have to be mashups.”
Your looked up at him, then back at Gekko, then finally Wingman who happily waved at you. You were very well surrounded. It felt good. Warm.
“Can we spend more moments like this ?” you asked. “Us four, I mean.”
Gekko hugged you from behind and lulled you from side to side.
“Fine by me ! But next time, we should bring snacks.”
“I already have all we need for a nice musical setting,” Miks gestured at the very present collection of records in his room before messing with your hair. “And I have a personal playlist to craft for you, remember ?”
And Wingman hopped on your lap to boop your nose.
You were a bit scared of judgment at first, but it seemed like music brought you closer to what you really needed : a trio of puppy-like agents who cared for you.
*Kurac ! : it basically means 'dick'
I made it ! It was long and I had difficulties writing the end but I made it ! Miks and Gekko (and Wingman, let's not forget about Wingman) were such a warm sight together. I had to write something.
Anecdote 1 : I really started this fic on a whim. The second Gekko and Miks (and Wingman) appeared together on the trailer, I opened ellipsus and started writing ideas.
Anecdote 2 : I wrote most of this fanfic while listening to Gekko's official Spotify playlist.
Thank you for taking the time of reading this ! I wish you a good whatever moment of the day you're reading this !

Yoru: Words. [Coffee shop]
For him, words mean nothing if the actions don't back them up immediately; whether be in friendships or his intimate life—to which he shouldn't worry at all since he has none—, he won't heed to promises nor apologies if those are not fulfilled accordingly.
This fact never changed, strengthening with time and polishing it through everything surrounding him despite clashing wildly with the rest. Deaf to complaints and blind to dirty stares, he continues to strive forward in life ignoring them; because if not even the first light made him change his mind, neither will the people who came after the disaster.
Even when he found himself falling in love, Ryo’s morals and beliefs never warped nor misguided.
Odd, in everyone's eyes. Reasonable, in his.
The loner wolf got someone to like him and tame his wild heart by simple actions, little by little, until Yoru stopped being the radiant with powerful abilities, to introduce himself to you as Ryo; a normal japanese man who enjoys the smell of coffee and reminisce the old times with a heavy heart.
You were completely fooled by his web of lies to keep you away from the mess his life is, to keep you on your toes whenever he desired to share bits of his past and made you feel like the only person special in his world; which is true, despite the many wrongs he's done, you are truly what he could consider his special someone and his treasure.
You managed to have him wrapped around your finger in less than a month with sweet words and caring nature. Stubborn but mindful, hot-headed but grounded—you were the perfect mix complimenting him.
Yoru didn't even know he was capable of trusting something as important as his heart to a stranger of sorts, blindly following what his emotions dictate and what your sweet words enchant him to do.
He was in love, completely and utterly head over heels for you it was almost ridiculous.
Eating every word you’d have to say as if it were the law, watching your hands work around your station and do their magic while making his favorite beverage for the day, stealing glances his way every now and then—it was embarrassing how pliant you made him by just being there.
There were days he would stay longer. When work was not important and you seemed thrilled to have him around, he’d lounge in the coffee shop and watch you work with a smile gracing your features.
And when the night falls, and you are tucked away in the privacy of your room, he would kiss every inch of your body that you allow him to touch and worship you as if you were a god, his god; preaching, marking and claiming you as his.
Every touch, every bite mark, every time you gasp for air when he drowns himself between your thighs, taking and taking in tandem what you offer in a silver plate; he cannot get enough, going for your sensitive spots one at a time until he has you shattering with pleasure and he chases after you to join. But no matter what, always prioritizing you.
That’s how ridiculous this whole thing is.
Phoenix and Jett are the few who are witness to his affections and love towards another human being— and made it out alive after being found out spying on the Japanese man.
To say you saved them from the wrath of Yoru's anger despite having all the reasons to smite them would be an understatement. They are more than thankful, if not curious about your history with the riftwalker and what it meant to have a partner outside the realm of normalcy.
It was dangerous, in truth, to have his personal life disclosed this easily to everyone who was his comrade in battle. Nothing good would come out of it and his lies would be found out if you were to interact further with them.
But at the end, he realized it could favor him immensely if the others knew, except for you.
Yoru is not someone who can trust others easily, as previously stated. Quite the opposite.
Through his tough persona, he evades people all the time to avoid being seen or cornered to socialize; insulting and pushing away whoever wants to approach him even from a friendly stance.
When you entered his life he understood he wouldn't be able to protect you alone. Hence the lies, to keep you at arms lengths. But now that you were too involved in his world, the best course of action that he finds reasonable is to rope a few other agents to ensure your safety, as dangerous as it might sound.
Cypher would make sure to erase every trace of interactions with the riftwalker after every meeting; all at the high price he won't disclose by contract with the Moroccan man. He is not proud of what he owes him now, but to know you're well secured and protected, he would do it again and again.
He contacted Killjoy to hack into the system to find any correlation of your social circle to whoever worked or is currently working for Kingdom. Once the list was delivered to his hands, Yoru would make sure everyone on the list would be erased from existence; not a single soul would be able to escape him.
By what methods? That's for him to take to the grave, with no witnesses.
You are his world, you are his everything, and he will make sure you are safe and sound or else hell will rise.

Omen: Words. [Knitting shop]
The concentration poured into keeping himself together could be arguably the best quality he could offer.
Not everyone can pride themselves about the determination of keeping oneself alive for longer than nature intended; since his due time was past the date and he’s now breaking every little law of the universe, he wonders if this was some sort of punishment for going against it.
He’s never asked to be revived into…a monster, despite having many people arguing that whatever he is now, is better than being dead.
A foolish thought.
Omen can definitely be naming the many reasons as to why it is not a miracle, but a penitence for his past mistakes when he was alive. Atoning for his sins in the form of smokes and dirty armor, from broken flesh and ignited bones, it pains him deeply being alive and despises whoever treats his hurt as if it were nothing.
Being reborn as a new being shifts something on his brain, unintentionally, and he begins treating himself as an inhuman. Therefore, anyone who looks his way treats him the same way: like a monster.
Is inevitable, really, a course of action not even he has the power to stop nor change. He goes along with whatever happens in his surroundings now, accustomed to his comrades' attitudes.
He’s more than aware of their dirty looks and general avoidance whenever he is in the vicinity, oblivious of his capability of sensing emotions through wavelengths or the fact that he’s witness to their change in demeanour— they know how to keep it professional enough so disturbances don't take place.
That is how his days go by, used to it, used to being an unsightly view and detriment to the morale of his comrades with his unsettling voice and mannerism. His turmoil means nothing if the rest is content with not having him around; so he absconds, hides himself most of the time and pretends he isn't alive for their sake.
There is nothing new in his everyday life.
Or so he thinks, before his curse tides the wave in his favor.
Imagine his surprise the first time someone didn't react negatively with his presence.
It threw him off, confusion overtaking him and assuming he just read the cues wrong. It surprises him more when you don’t react at all until he speaks out loud, scaring the living shit out of you.
When you look at him, or more specifically, where you thought he was, Omen supposed this would go different.
Not being a sociable person, Omen finds it odd to have been convinced to come to Harajuku for materials he needed. Some of his knitting kits have gone missing, and trying not to bother his comrades, he never spoke about the issue.
Yoru made some reassurance, in his own way, that no one would mind the way he looks since everyone there was already a freak. Omen didn't refute his saying, since his words had truth in there, despite feeling offended.
“They won't even notice you at night,” he commented.
No fear, no screams, not even a glance nor terrified expression painting your features besides being startled; that's how your first meeting went: only a smile and the pleasure to assist him.
Kind and lovely, adjectives Omen would never think of being used in his vocabulary, but for this occasion, it was necessary, a must to describe you. Amusing, too, whenever he would ask you questions about certain things, voice deep and reverberating it sent shivers down your spine; he made you nervous.
One more worker, just like him, but missing a certain ability most had.
You were blind.
For better or worse, it doesn't change your way of treating him like a human being; despite him losing his humanity over and over again on the battlefield, taking life after another, you treat him with a kindness and warmness that he has forgotten long ago.
You are quick to erase the awful thoughts running through his brain with little chats and adorable clumsiness, chasing after him at the shop to keep talking. It was flattering that someone was taking an interest in him this deeply, and inevitably, he finds himself chasing after you too.
Omen believes this is how liking someone feels, contrary to his initial thoughts on socializing, he finds it fulfilling and easy to navigate with you with this newfound feeling.
His one time visit becomes a recurrent, always looking for you and ignoring everyone else in your surroundings to bask in your full attention and pretty smiles. Even when people visit the shop, even when people comment on his overall look with disgusted faces, one word from you eases his tension and doubts.
You are a sweetheart to a fault, letting everyone walk on you because of your calm demeanor and shy complex under stressful situations. He would watch people talk behind your back within your presence, ignoring completely the crestfallen expression on your face or the gathering tears in your eyes when you think he’s not there or no one notices.
They belittle you, doubt your work and decision making because of your lack of vision.
They doubt him too, for his appearance perhaps, he doesn’t know for sure. But their words begin to target him as well, stronger than before, with the full intention of seeing him fall and break under the pressure of the masses and therefore, you would fall too.
Omen decides he wants them gone.
Aim is another quality of his, you know?
A little secret whispered in your ear one night. With a promise to return and barrel of the gun cold, he goes off into the dark and blends in within the shadows surrounding the city to fulfill his wishes.
Whatever he does outside the sliding doors of the little shop should be none of your concern, but his alone. If you hear crying, muffled sounds at the end of the street, or just the minimum rustle at the entrance, he’s warned you to not chase after it.
Being covered in dry blood is not a pretty sight, and he wonders then, watching the life fading from another monster who dared disrespect you, if you would accept him for who he really is.
So when he reaches the threshold in the shop, startling you and freezing on the spot, he asks you if you would ever consider loving someone who doesn't belong in this world anymore.
When you kiss for the first time, Omen doesn't think, he can't, too overwhelmed to process what's going on.
It’s odd, but somehow, warming. Your face is warm with how embarrassed and nervous you feel, lips reaching into thin air, but at the same time, colliding against a surface you believe could be his mouth.
Your hands hold his head in place through the fabric of his hood, and he can feel your thumbs rubbing softly against what could be considered his cheeks in a soothing motion when you press further and then back away, smiling softly at him.
There are no words to say, it's unnecessary at this moment when the question has been answered.
Omen caresses your face with his claws, and he feels you shiver and sigh, closing your eyes and leaning into his touch.
Leaning in, he decides to take what he wants from you, and you gladly let him have his way with you, whispering his name the moment his hands disappear under your clothes and smoke embraces your whole body.
Inside the closed shop, no one is witness of the way Omen loves you that night, with his whole being and emotions only he dreamed of being real and is now a reality.

Gekko: Freedom. [An acquaintance]
Throughout his life, Mateo has always been considered a friendly person.
Conversations here and there, making friends down the street, enamouring the grandladies next door who always gush over his cuteness and kindness as a little kid.
He's always been popular amongst the people surrounding him; a star shining brightly amongst others, a leader, a role model. Mateo is everything and all mothers wish for their kids to be when they grow up, for people to have as a friend, and for girls to want in their boyfriends.
But for him, none of it is of importance. It’s irrelevant and pointless to praise him non-stop when he believes nothing of what they say.
Mateo only wishes he could be freed from all of this pressure and simply live his life as a normal teenage boy.
Having been born and raised by a single mother has been tough, with the many expectations put onto his shoulders and many accomplishments he felt the need to fulfill, Mateo never had the time to discover himself in this world but to wear the shoes of someone who is predetermined to succeed.
They expected him to be smart; so he would study non-stop, missing hours of sleep and time to be playing outside just to focus on his grades and reach the top results. They expected him to be kinder; to always share his things, to share his food, to share his money until he was broke just to please the rest of the world.
They expected many things he despised, but Mateo never said no.
It was like a curse he self-inflicted and didn’t know how to get rid of, and as much as he tries to lash out or simply think to rebel and live like he wants, the nagging feeling of guilt eats him alive before he acts.
Giving up and accepting the façade he's created is the easiest path. He will stop struggling, he will come to terms with what he's chosen and just bear with it.
Mateo will have to live chained to this fate.
But then, he met his little crew.
The one time he decides to do something for himself, he gets wrapped into the biggest catastrophe that has ever been; affecting everything and everyone in the world until there is nothing but himself and his new friends.
The shift they cause is what makes him decide to start being selfish.
They say when you meet death face-on you can never become the person you used to be. In his case, it meant leaving behind the cocoon of someone who pleased everyone in his surroundings and was finally feeling the metaphorical chains break him free.
Mateo breathes deeply when he comes to that realization, and it almost feels like the first time doing it.
And it gets better.
Because through Reyna is how he meets you.
You are stunning, amazing, funny, gorgeous—he’s running out of words to describe you!
Shaking his hand for the first time, he knows it has to be you. The one to complete his puzzle, the one to fill that empty space of his new life.
Mateo falls in love with you right there and then.
He never believed to have strong feelings for anything in life nor desires that he deeply wanted for himself except freedom— but you made him change his perspective as soon as you came into his life.
It was as if a door had been unlocked and all the suppressed emotions bursted without control, clouding his mind and getting overwhelmed with what he was feeling until there were no other thoughts but you.
You were the contender of his affections and desires now, and Mateo, in his sick twisted way of thinking, thought that you will have to belong to him as well.
Just like he claimed his crew to be his, despite them being sentient, just like he claimed back his life, and just like he got the courage to toss away everyone who crossed his path and denied him the opportunity to evolve into someone better—he is now going to claim you as his.
Nevermind that you had a partner already, nevermind Reyna eyeing him carefully after the exchange of pleasantries, dubious and concerned because of his unstable emotions; his focus was you, and you alone.
Blame it on the world, blame it on Kingdom, fuck, blame it on him for going to this lengths to make sure he had a chance.
Mateo has killed people before.
The Valorant protocol trains them to have impeccable aim and be smart about their actions, so it is no wonder he could kill your partner in one clean shot the next day and hide the body for no one to find.
Many secrets bloom from his action, but no regrets were found in his eerie smile nor empty hazel eyes when Reyna confronted him about it. Mateo had the upper hand, because he knew she wouldn't say a word—because despite being a cold-hearted person and having her judgment intact, she has a soft spot for him, and Mateo plans to abuse that for his goal.
It comes in handy with everything he taught himself when you look for someone to hold onto, crying and sobbing when your partner goes missing.
Mateo acts empathetic, soothing your cries and assuring you he would never leave your side until your partner is found. He promises to do everything to help, and to keep you company as you try to heal from the sudden disappearance.
And it takes you a long time to move on. Deciding whether your partner abandoned you or simply decided to be gone from the world, Mateo's words bring a smile to your face every time he tries to cheer you up.
Flirting, teasing, and keeping you on the edge of your seat with his actions is his way to test the waters.
Mateo is eloquent when it comes to words and his ways of gaslighting. To make you trust him slowly and not only by baseless talking—is a long process, a tedious one where he needs to make sure everything is going according to what he needs and not be rash on his decisions.
He compliments everything you do, from what you wear to what you do. He’s always there whenever you need company or someone to talk to.
Mateo brings years of experience in entertaining and being the good guy to make you like him; it’s genius how polished he has that persona that it looks natural.
Sometimes, when he feels the need to know the progress in the relationship he’s trying to build, he becomes bolder and breaches the friendly distance in which you keep him at.
Mateo corners you in the hallway once, hovering over your mouth with inches apart, breaths intermingling and lips barely touching until he suddenly pulls away. He acts flustered and nervous, apologizing and making excuses as he escapes from the situation. But then he sees you from a distance, tip of your fingers touching your lips as he sees you shaking on the spot, too shy to move away or say something.
It’s like he’s toying with you on purpose, you think nervously. Face warm and a hammering heart threatening to burst through your chest. Mateo loves teasing you, but this has gotten to a point where he’s starting to slip and become desperate.
Because there is so much a man like him can tolerate. And the tension between you two, sexual tension that has him trembling and absconding in his quarters to find some relief in the pleasure you provoke him by just being there, is starting to make him lose his mind.
When you breach the barrier by throwing yourself at him one day, having enough of his constant teasing, and you fall onto your bed, climbing on top of him and kissing him with fervor and heated passion, he knows he’s won.
Mateo reciprocates with the same sentiment, drowning in your lips and taste, with his heart full and desires fulfilled. He holds you tightly and without restrain, hands roaming your body and touching and taking.
As clothes fall to the floor and your warm and naked bodies intermingle in a dance of passion, you confess your love to him between moans and gasps.
Only when Mateo releases inside you, feeling the pulse of your walls fluttering around his cock as you reach your orgasm, does he allow himself to cry and kiss you all over as he confesses his love for you too.
This is what it means to have freedom.

Cypher: Family. [A chess piece]
In his culture, family is the most important aspect in their lives. The ones to trust unconditionally and love infinitely, and those who will reciprocate his feelings throughout their whole lives with no regrets.
To Amir, his grandfather was his world.
An angry old cranky man was he, beating the crap out of intruders who dared disrespect the La Amari family and protecting what little land they still held against Kingdom's agents.
His grandfather had no powers nor weapons for the enemy to fear him—but it was of no need for this battle. La Amari's grandfather was a well-respected person that his own people feared him sometimes; because he gave what no one else could: hope, enough of a little spark to inspire others into being active in the fight against Kingdom and their thirst for power.
That alone was dangerous, and it kept Kingdom's agents on a tight leash to not cause a riot.
“Think about what will make you lose, instead of what will make you win. To know what’s at stake is a better fuel to incentive you to protect it”, is a piece of advice Amir will never forget.
And it was the last thing his grandfather taught him.
It was devastating losing him at such a young age when he had a future to hold onto, people to take and many to guide. But Amir accepted its fate, because no one can defy death and its destiny; continuing living his life by those beliefs and advice and not disregarding everything he’s learnt.
Then he met Nora. He fell deeply in love, and had his first child. Every decision made, every move he took on life was calculated and thought before accomplishing it. Amir believed he had everything solved and paved until his very end, but nothing went according to his plan.
He was never able to figure out the plays of death, always one step ahead of him, and once again taking away everything that was important to him in one swift move.
Death wasn’t the culprit to his many misfortunes, though.
Imagine his surprise when he found out the same people who took Nora’s life were the same gang who murdered his grandfather many years ago. And later on, destroyed the rest of the lineage of La Amari.
The whole crime scene reeked from their trademark, unable to hold back and destroying everything on their way. It was a bloody mess, and the images of his family mangled and dead will remain grafted inside his brain for the rest of his life.
Amir believes that’s the moment where everything changed for him.
La Amari disappeared from the earth, he made sure of that, his family name was dead now and scrubbed from records. The only thing that will carry the memory is him, Cypher, in search of vengeance and answers.
But with time, everything changes its course of action and now Cypher is involved in what could be considered some sort of organization to save the world.
Funny how things evolve.
He meets new people, he learns a few things here and there, he gets fond of some kids, genius fellas they are, a techie and a walking bomb—Cypher takes everything in with open arms, but never without the advice resonating throughout his brain like an echo.
Think about what will make you lose.
Like a chant, he repeats the same sentence when meeting new agents or when deployed to missions. Cypher is the first to come up with solutions, the first to come with counterplans and always a step ahead of the enemy.
And then, like a rock thrown into a well, a disturbance is found.
You are a weird one, he thinks when meeting you for the first time, all smiles and sparky soul.
Jumping and talking non-stop, always a little ray of sunshine to the youngsters but annoying punk for the seniors.
It always seems to go on tangents when speaking with you. Cypher likes things concise and straight to the point, so it's obvious to him that he doesn't find you amusing in the slightless.
Cypher doesn't care for you at first, treating you with less than affection and little patience when dealing with you. You are nothing in his life, just another agent and someone else he needs to keep his eye on.
And then, you matter, in more ways than he anticipated.
Because the moment the anniversary of his wife and kid's death comes around, Cypher spirals into a pit of depression he hasn't felt since the incident, digging himself into his own tomb inch by inch as punishment and blaming himself for everything that hurted his loved ones.
And like a star shining in a dark pit, beckoning him with the warmth and gentle touch, is when everything goes to shit.
Because you, being the smart cookie you are, sympathized with him the moment you saw him break down and closed off to the world in panic.
You are not Nora, you don’t even resemble her in any aspect whatsoever, but his frivolous and conflicted brain twists your actions, your pure intentions, into something that he desperately thinks he needs.
Comfort.
Cypher sees in you an anchor to take advantage of, and you are so unaware of his intentions, so innocent and flustered so easily by his words, that you simply follow whatever he needs you to do.
An obedient little fella, a sweet young adult ready to help whoever needs it without regarding their own self. You follow him like a puppy inside the protocol, you shine brighter when he compliments you, you are so thirsty for his attention he never leaves you hanging with anticipation.
Cypher accepts then that you are what he needs now to fill his own wish and hole in his heart until he takes care of the bigger matters.
But to have you, he needs to think clearly; to own you, he needs to make his moves smartly.
Finding information about your background, your life, the people you mingle with and the man you were obligated into marrying is easy. Is like you're leaving this all for him to find on purpose, is like you know he's doing this to get you, and you're helping him.
And damn him! A surprise is what he finds amongst your files! A family member of the gang who destroyed his life, the gang who were hired by Kingdom to erase La Amari's lineage and conquer the little lands of Morocco. You! You were the key to everything to finally finish what his grandfather started many years ago!
Cypher is joyful, ecstatic, and so eager to take everything from them and, as a prize, keep you to himself.
And when he has everything he needs, he begins his game.
It’s so easy. Breaking down their walls, breaking their security and their lackeys, is like a child's game when he realizes this is not a challenge.
Like chess, his moves are smart and calculated, and everything crumbles in front of their eyes.
Think about what will make you lose.
He makes the first move, killing the white's pawn.
Your friends are the first to fall. One by one, they die by his hands and his own methodological mind games to gain information regarding you and your family.
They plead for forgiveness, they ask him to leave you alone, but Cypher is quick to silence them forever.
Humming to himself, he moves his bishop to kill the white's knight.
That little husband of yours put up a real struggle. It was not an easy task to have them under control, nor make them give you up as he snarls and fights to get free.
Cypher was taken aback by their loyalty, surprised but eager that this might turn bloodier than he anticipated.
It’s funny, too, that despite having someone who loves you this deeply, you always look for Cypher. As if this person isn't enough to satisfy you.
Cornering the white's queen was easy.
Every obstacle was eliminated. Anything and anyone he considered might cross his path or make the situation difficult for his plans to move forward is no longer a threat to him, nor his objective.
Cypher fixes the pieces to their positions once he's finished, and in turn, clicks on a button of his surveillance set-up.
The many screens light up with views from the cameras he has around the base and hidden away by simple eyes.
In one of them, he sees you walking down the hallway with quick steps, hurriedly making your way to Cypher's room.
He sees the determination in your expression, the fast pacing of your steps and in less than a minute you are at his door, huffing to catch your breath and eyes wandering around his room.
Your body language says everything he needs to know—from your shuffle in feet and avoidance to look him into his eyes. You are nervous, if not a little shy to confront him about something.
But he is patient, hands resting on his lap and legs crossed, awaiting for your words with eagerness.
“I like you,” you say, approaching him slowly and nervously rubbing your arms. “I like you a lot, Cypher.”
Unaware of his affairs, you inch closer and kneel in front of him, hands holding onto his and looking into his eerie blue eyes.
“Will you take me?” you ask.
Cypher smiles under his mask, a finger under your chin and gently caressing your lower lips with his thumb.
“But of course, my dear. You are mine now.”
He has won.

Miks (Song). [A rave]
Adrijan believes he has everything figured out by this point.
With the radiant powers he’s been bestowed upon, and the energy of his people that surround him all the time, he knows for sure nothing can go wrong nor amiss with how things play out.
All he has: friends, family, a community; it’s what anyone could ask for and more. They always reassure him and say how blessed they are to have him to rely on. Their pillar, their hero, their most trusted friend—
If only he wasn’t getting fed up with the good guy act, he’d have been more than happy to hear such words. It starts to get tiring when he isn’t able to maintain a grin nor the hype at the raves he hosts; few do notice, he’s come to realize, but never say a thing.
Why would they, when they literally feed off his energy to keep them entertained? Most of that crowd doesn’t look after him nor his own vibes. They all are selfish and intolerable, sometimes he wonders why he still mingles with those people.
It gets to a point where Adrijan starts to detach himself from what’s considered normal behaviour—or normal under the umbrella of social status. Unaware of his own faults and defects, it’s easier to blame others instead of admitting he has a problem too; however, it shows in the way it affects him psychologically.
The shift is not obvious at first. It starts slow, and with little things no one would bat an eye to.
His manner of speech becomes unstable and slightly aggressive, the words he uses are no longer mindful nor thought of before being said; even his actions seem to change when he isn’t careful and becomes, more often than not, violent to things that he has no control over.
The people don’t seem to mind, for they are just like him, if not worse sometimes. If he were to be placed next to that sort of crowd, he would be seen like an angel instead of the amalgamation of personalities he has become.
Ollie and Klara were lucky to have come across him when his emotions were somewhat stable and was acting friendly after his sets were played at a local rave.
With the adrenaline running high, and the good energy pumping through his veins, he lent them an ear after discovering he was a radiant just like a few of their comrades.
Despite the atmosphere not being the most adequate to handle a conversation about an ongoing war, fighting against agents of their mirror selves, and the possibility of their own world collapsing because of the radianate, Miks was more than ready to reject their proposal to help them out.
He was sure he didn’t want to become another pillar for a group of people who meant nothing to him, even when a lot was at stake.
What contradicted his decision was meeting you a second after they begged him to consider it. Their words were lost in the background with the music as his green eyes focused and locked onto your form approaching them.
You were beautiful.
Probably the most beautiful being he has seen in his entire life and has come across his insignificant life.
Singing along to the music blasting through the stereos, arms thrown over Ollie and Klara’s shoulders, you smiled at him, asking for his name, and he was a goner.
The instability of his emotions was kept under control when he finally joined the protocol and was asked to live with them for better management. He found no issue as long as you were there too, and that’s probably why no one suspected him of being…dangerous.
Miks falls in love hard and fast. Like a lighting bolt striking his heart and filling a void he never realized he possessed.
He’s not ashamed to admit it to anyone who asks despite their worrying glances and constant questions. He is proud of the love he holds for you, and wishes you could see it too.
The questions come from a place of constant worry for you, though. They notice. They see it. The obsession he has for you is not healthy.
But every time you were on the team, success was guaranteed. When everything is at high stake, those moments are when his love and emotions are in tune for one goal: to protect you.
Nevermind that Miks sacrifice absolutely everyone if it means you come back alive and well. In the battlefield, no one else matters but his beloved, and everyone has learned that they can’t fully rely on him, except for you, perhaps.
Miks lives by it. Lives by you and your words of encouragement when he does a good job. Lives by your feather touch and stolen glances when you cross paths. He is so enamoured by everything about you and it shows in every single action of his that is almost pathetic. It gets to the point everyone in the protocol knows of his devotion to you, and only you, that he is seen as the loverboy whose darling doesn’t seem to realize he is in love with her.
It hurts, though.
It hurts him deeply that he is such a coward for never saying it outright to your face that you continue with your life as if his love meant nothing. He likes to think you are doing it on purpose to stir the fire consuming him slowly; to keep him on the edge of a seat and simply waiting for him to be unable to take it anymore and explode.
It’s cruel, but it excites him.
But there is so much a man like him can handle as he keeps his true nature bottled up.
The ticking bomb reaches its limit on a rave he hosts.
Sets are ready, the equipment works wonderfully and the crowd chants his name as if he were a god. He is the main show for the night, and makes sure to be as handsome as he can get for you.
Ollie and Klara weren’t able to make it. But it’s not like he cares much, cuz’ as long as you are there, nothing else matters.
Amongst the crowd of people who gathered around his set up, you were dancing and jumping to the beat of the songs he played. You were all smiles and laughter, singing and moving with the rest of the sea of people. Miks winks at you as he maneuvers a vinyl before hooking it up to the recorder. You cover a smile behind your hand and wink at him playfully, his heart soars.
The happiness doesn’t last for long. For a fraction of a second, just a moment where he makes a change of songs and a few of the crew distracts him, he loses sight of you.
The low lights and heated ambient doesn’t help the anxiety skyrocketing when he can’t find you anywhere with his eyes. The show keeps going though. Miks tries to maintain calm and keep the crowd eager and energetic. His eyes flit around the space all the time, minutes pass by, and then, finally, he spots you in the far back.
Making out with a friend of his.
Like a broken record, everything in his brain halts and he freezes upon seeing the betrayal play in front of his very eyes.
And all he sees is red.
There is no one who doubts his intentions when he speaks with the crew to cede his space to the next DJ earlier than intended, and steps down in a hurry to make his way towards you.
His blood rushes to his ears, his hands ball into fists, and his eyes hold a fury and vengeance no one has witnessed in him before as he avoids the bodies of people still dancing, unaware of the hell that has broken loose. If he hasn’t taken his gun out it was only because he is still trying to maintain appearances despite wanting to put a bullet through his head.
The anger grows tenfold when a few of his group of friends try to stop him with barks of laughter, trying to appease him as he snatches his arm from their hold. One of them tells him to let his friend have his fun for a bit longer before they take turns with you. They offer him a spot as well, too blind to realize the anger residing in his chest.
He pushes the guy away and goes to grab his friend by the back of his shirt to peel him away from you. Your body crumbles onto the floor with a loud thud.
Aware is not a word he could use to describe you right now—disoriented and lost is how you look, with the eyes bloodshot and disheveled clothes, looking up at him in confusion as you can’t seem to process what’s going on.
The relief he feels when he realizes you’ve been drugged and weren’t doing this out of your own volition is gratifying. Oh, Miks knew you couldn’t betray him like this! How foolish of him to even have considered it in the first place.
Only when he secures your safety inside his room backstage, he goes back to the group and drags them away from the rave with light conversation and empty friendly smiles, promising them a more exciting adventure.
Miks takes his time with each of them by denying any way of escape or salvation. One bullet per limb, he makes sure everyone has one on at least one leg to ensure they won’t escape before reaching for more bullets and reloading his sheriff mumbling a happy tune.
He only gags them after because their cries have started to annoy him, and ties them up to trees surrounding him in a circle; away from prying eyes but close enough so the music can muffle their pained screams.
“A demonstration, if you may,” he grins, but the smile doesn’t reach his eyes.
With his sonic vibrations he covers one of the guy's ears and emits a high pitched wavesound that has his victim writhe in pain until the orifices begins bleeding. What follows next are his shoulders, gathering up pressure into his palms and slamming them down hard until the bones crack and pop under his touch with a reverberating bass.
The rest don’t take long to realize Adrijan is going for torture without an once of pity as he cleans his hands on what used to be his friend’s clothes. He goes for every spot that might make them suffer the most, experimenting and toying with them, laughing brightly alongside their cries and screams for mercy.
Each one of them meets the same slow and most painful punishment he can deliver by the end. He hopes anyone misfortuned enough to commit the same crimes knows that Miks will fight and murder for your sake, no matter the consequences.
By the time he is done, what used to be his group of friends are nothing more than a pile of flesh and broken bones, bleeding out slowly and life no longer clinging to any of them.
When he goes back to you, proud of his actions and more than eager to take you away, you welcome him with a sob and pained cries, burying your face into the crook of his neck as you ask him to never leave you alone again.
Miks hugs you tighter, face burying into your hair as he inhales your scent and promises in hushed whispers that he belongs to you, and only you.
When you hold his bloody face with tenderness and lean up to kiss him, soft and gently, Adrijan admits to himself he would do this again if it meant protecting you.
His darling is finally where she belongs. With him.

A/n: I really wanna write more this year so I'm currently working on a request rules post. Hope that I can finish it soon but I also wanna make it aesthetic so we'll see. <3
Yoru
Yoru’s usually the first one up, like 95% of the time, but getting up? that’s a whole different story. He’s not a morning person, so he tends to stay in bed for quite a while. He just loves how quiet the early morning is, just sitting there watching the sunlight illuminate the room. It’s one of the moments where he lets himself soften up a bit, just looking at you peacefully sleeping.
When it comes to waking you up, he’s not exactly the gentlest, but he’s got his own sweet way of doing it. He might brush your hair out of your face or lean in close to directly say something like, “Oi, wake up already.” in your ear.
If you’re being extra stubborn , he’ll start teasing you, tickling you or covering you collarbone and neck with kisses and hickeys until you finally groan and get up, which just makes him smirk.
On lazy mornings, he might stay in bed with you longer than usual, leaning on one elbow while he traces random patterns on your skin with his fingers or just holding you close to him.
And he espacially loves those quiet moments for a bit of light teasing with you. If you suggest staying in bed even longer, he’s secretly all for it, though he’ll pretend it’s just to humor you.
On busier days he'll make sure you're both up and ready to go on time. While Yoru’s not a morning person, so he can be a little grumpy, but he still takes charge in this situation. If you’re dragging your feet, don’t be surprised if he wraps his arms around you from behind and growls something like, “Come on, let’s go, slowpoke.”
Yoru doesn’t usually do the whole “affectionate” thing, but mornings are a bit different. He loves noticing the little details about you, like how messy your hair gets or the way you bury your face in the pillow. Every now and then, he’ll pull you into a kiss that starts out slow and lazy but quickly gets heated, it’s his way of soaking in your presence before the day kicks off.
Gekko
You’re usually the first one up since Gekko tends to sleep like a rock. He’s often sprawled out across the bed, one arm thrown over you making it harder for you to get up.
If you’re the one waking him up, it’s probably by tracing circles on his chest or sneaking soft kisses on his cheek. When he finally stirs, his first move is to pull you closer, mumbling in that half-asleep, raspy voice, “Five more minutes…”
If he’s the one waking you up (on the rare occasions), it’s really soft and playful. He’ll kiss your forehead and grin as he whispers, “Good morning, beautiful.”
On more lazy mornings, Gekko loves staying in bed with you as long as you’ll let him. His little buddies usually hop onto the bed to join in the cuddles, making it even cozier.
Breakfast tends to be slightly chaotic with everyone involved, but despite that he can never get enough of your laugh as you both try (and maybe fail) to cook together.
Even on busy days, Gekko’s mornings are a bit slow but always shows his care for you. If you aren't going out together he’ll make sure you’re all set before he heads out, giving you a long kiss and throwing in a “Don’t miss me too much.”
Physical touch is totally Gekko’s thing, so he’s always finding a way to be close, wrapping an arm around you or resting his chin on your shoulder.
On those slower mornings, he loves whispering sweet things into your ear or shares whatever random dream he had. Sometimes those moments turn into soft, passionate kisses that make it really hard to actually get out of bed.
Chamber
Chamber’s always up early. By the time you wake up, he’s either already perfectly dressed or sipping his espresso looking like straight out of a café ad. He always loves watching you wake up, you're groggy appearance making a soft smile appear on his lips.
If you’re still asleep but need to get up, he leans in to press a kiss to your temple or gently nudge your shoulder while murmuring, “Mon amour, it’s time to wake up.” On the rare occasion you’re the one waking him, you’ll catch him looking entirely relaxed, his hair a little messy, his whole vibe softer than usual.
On lazy mornings, Chamber doesn’t mind indulging. He’ll stay in bed with you, running his hands over your body or lightly tracing your lips with his thumb. And of course, breakfast is brought to you, he insists on spoiling you, no arguments allowed.
On busy mornings, he’s all about efficiency. He’s never really in a rush, but everything he does feels intentional. He’ll help you get ready, whether it’s tying your tie or brushing lint off your shirt. Before heading out, he’ll kiss your hand, a quiet little promise that he’ll be back for you.
Chamber has this way of taking care of you that feels so effortless. Whether it’s handing you your morning coffee or pulling you in for a tender kiss, it’s just second nature to him. On slower mornings, he’s completely unhurried, his touch lingers, his kisses teasing and light or deep enough to leave you completely breathless.
Phoenix
Phoenix is usually the first one up, full of energy and ready to go. But if he’s had a late night, he’ll totally sleep in and cling to you like you’re his favorite teddy bear.
If he wakes up before you, he’ll playfully shake you awake, announcing something like, “Babe, the world needs us” On the flip side, if you’re the one waking him, he’ll groggily pull you back into bed with a cheeky grin, muttering, “Just a few minutes longer.”
Lazy mornings with Phoenix are always fun. He might suggest breakfast in bed or turn on some music and tries to get you to dance with him. You’ll probably end up in his arms, laughing as he spins you around the kitchen.
On busy mornings, he’s quick but always thoughtful, making sure that both of you are ready for the day. He’ll give you a goodbye kiss with a wink and throw in a playful “Don’t forget to miss me.”
Phoenix always wants to make sure there is a smile on your face, whether it’s cracking a silly joke or surprising you with a quick kiss. On slower days, he loves nuzzling into your neck and covering you in kisses until you’re giggling. His touch is always incredibly warm, and his affection usually ends in some flirty banter that makes you unwilling to get out of bed.
Viper
Viper’s always up first, sticking to her routine. She loves the quiet silence of the early morning and usually lets you sleep a bit longer.
When she does wake you, it’s gentle, a soft touch on your shoulder and a calm, “It’s time to get up.” On the rare occasion she lets herself relax, she might lean down and press a kiss to your forehead, her lips lingering just a bit longer than usual.
Lazy mornings with Viper feel special. She really treasures those rare chances to just slow down, maybe reading a book while you rest your head on her lap, or sitting with you on the balcony, quietly enjoying the morning together.
On busy mornings, her routine is very efficient, but she always makes sure you’re ready too. If you’re dragging behind, she’ll guide you with a gentle hand on your back and a firm but caring tone to keep you moving.
Viper’s way of showing affection is subtle, but it means so much. She might brush her fingers along your jaw or let her hand rest on yours during breakfast, these little gestures that speak volumes. And when her control slips on rare mornings, her kisses get deeper and more intense, leaving you breathless and wanting more.
Reyna
Reyna likes to wake up on her own terms. If there’s nothing pressing, she’ll happily stay in bed with you, soaking up the warmth and comfort for as long as she can.
When she’s the one waking you, it’s with a low, “Good morning, mi amor” as her lips trail softly along your shoulder. But if you’re the one waking her, don’t expect to leave easily, she’ll pull you back into her arms with a sly smile, teasing, “Leaving already?”
Lazy mornings with Reyna are pure bliss. She loves taking it slow, having intimate conversations, and sharing lingering touches. Breakfast feels almost luxurious, with her feeding you bites of food or sipping her coffee while sitting close to you so that she can touch you.
On busy mornings, she’s more composed, moving at her own pace. But when her eyes land on you, there’s always a softness there. Before heading out, she’ll pull you in for a kiss, deep and searing, her hand gently cradling your face.
Reyna’s protective side really comes out in the early mornings through tender gestures, tucking your hair behind your ear, stroking your cheek, or whispering sweet affirmations. Her kisses effortlessly go from soft and sweet to passionate, leaving you feeling cherished and utterly adored.
gekko x reader. she/her.
reader does not have any physical descriptions.
it’s getting harder and harder for gekko to hide the fact he’s helplessly in love with you, and his critters are definitely not helping.
gekko knew he felt something like a “phantom touch” whenever his critters channeled their feelings into him, it just wasn’t something they did often. until now.
there’s no doubt they know he’s in love with you, and maybe wingman is trying to be a wingman by jumping into your arms and nuzzling into your neck, all while tapping into gekko’s senses and inviting him to appreciate the warmth too.
it was too much, so overwhelming, he felt like exploding every single time. but you, so sweet and loving, did nothing to push away the critters, instead you did the exact opposite, cuddling them back and cooing at them for their cuteness.
one time you even gave thrash a kiss on the forehead.
gekko’s entire face burned such a bright shade of scarlet you asked him if he was okay, cheek brushing against thrash and your hands rubbing gently at dizzy’s tummy.
the critters had the gall to chirp in concern too, the little shits. they knew exactly what they were doing, and gekko was definitely going to give them all a long lecture about playing with his love life when they get back to base.
“i-i’m okay!” he says, sounding nothing near okay, inwardly cursing himself for being such a terrible liar.
you give thrash one more smooch on the forehead before setting her down atop a pillow beside you, catching gekko lurch in his seat from your peripheral with a sudden gasp,
“teo?” he cant hide from you now, not with you standing right before him with so much concern in your eyes.
“you sure you’re okay?” and then you rest the back of your hand against his forehead and he breaks, hiding his face away in his hands and heaving a deep breath before jerking back in his seat again. “yes im okay,” he sounds like a broken record, still unconvincing as ever. you take a step back, offering some distance, “sorry i shouldn't have touched you without asking-“
“n-no its fine! i don’t mind i’m just-” he tilts his head up to glance at you but your eyes are already on his, unmoving, the eye contact is too intense, gekko can feel his face burning up again. you look guilty almost, and before gekko can attempt to reassure you again that he is okay, wingman is tugging at his pants and mosh jumps up to rest on his shoulder.
“little buddies seem worried too.” you comment, smiling softly at them as they gather around their owner. thrash zooms past you to settle on gekko’s lap, dizzy following in suit. gekko is glaring at them, grumbling in spanish to the critters who all gurgle and chirp in content despite his threatening tone. the interaction pulls a laugh out from your chest and the sound makes his heart tighten instantly.
“believe it or not, they aren’t worried, they’re actually pretty happy.” gekko mutters, his attention leaving his critters and settling on you again.
“are they?” you tilt your head in amusement, gekko nods, “they like embarrassing me for some reason. i mean thrash, she’s always been naughty, wingman and mosh too. i’m just shocked by dizzy, the little traitor, i thought you were the sweet one?” he pouts at the critter, she does a flip afloat before curling up in his hand, a soft purr resonating from her tummy.
“embarrass you? how so?” you take the initiative to sit beside him now, thighs touching, the warmth of your body setting his aflame. “i try to teach them to be polite and on their best behavior around other agents, y’know? but no, wingman still rummages through the trash bin and thrash is still knocking things off of the table for fun.” he laughs. “they’ve been all over you lately to get a rise out of me.”
his words cause your brows to knit together in confusion, and it hits him then that he’s said too much and cornered himself under your gaze.
“sage told me you could feel what they feel, is that true?”
“y-yeah.” he admits, you’re nodding your head in understanding, lips curling at the corners at the new information. “interesting. so whenever i kiss thrash, you feel it too?” you’re leaning in closer to him, invading his personal space, close enough to count his eyelashes and to really admire just how rosy his cheeks have become.
gekko opens his mouth before closing it, unsure of how to respond, brain shutting down at the sudden close proximity.
“teo? you with me?” you’re tilting your head at him again while taking his hand in yours, a smug smile painting its way onto your lips when gekko’s eyes widen at the ministration. “i-i y-yeah i-i’m here-” he manages, and you laugh while squeezing his hand, and he feels his heart soar.
“so do you?” you poke again, and gekko breathes deeply before nodding, “yeah, i do feel it… when you kiss them.”
“why didn’t you say anything? probably made you uncomfortable--”
“n-no its fine i don’t mind.”
“you don’t mind?”
“no, i mean, its like a phantom feeling, i’ll feel all warm and tingly, its actually kinda nice.” he admits, and he’s cursing himself immediately after because fuck he said too much again and you have that grin on your face, the one you make when you’re up to no good.
“you like the feeling of my kisses?” you're reaching for his face now, cupping his cheek in your hands, they’re so warm, but gekko’s cheeks are definitely hotter.
his eyes meet yours, heart blaring in his ears, so nervous and terrified for what's next.
he nods, and your smile widens, he said the right thing?
you rest your forehead against his, “bet it’d feel better directly though, wouldn’t it?” you offer, giggling when mateo’s eyes widen in disbelief at your words. he’s gaping at you, stuttering out a bunch of ums and doing everything in his power to avoid your eyes.
your laughter continues, sending a flurry of butterflies haywire in his tummy, and then you’re tilting his head up to meet his gaze again, to take in his flustered state and bashful expression, “oh teo you’re so cute.” you coo, leaning forward and pecking the corner of his mouth once.
his heart is practically banging against his ribcage at this point, he feels far too hot than what is probably physically safe, and you’re still holding his face in your hands and staring deep into his soul and it’s too much-
he breaks, hiding his face in the crook of your neck, “you’re gonna fucking kill me, cariño.” he mumbles against you, his breath warm and tickling the sensitive skin of your collarbone.
