I've always felt that the mood you're in is the mood that will be enhanced. X100 if you allow yourself to be free from worldly possessions and distractions. It's never wrong to LOVE. If you are able to do so LOVE without expectations. We all get burned, but allow those scars to heal and do it again. It takes strength to make yourself vulnerable to be transparent so another can see right through the bullshit and into your heart. Some people will never possess that ability and never fully understand what unconditional LOVE is all about.
