I need Rollisi like I need oxygen
Same tbh. I’m still surprised Warren Leight talked about the potential of the ship. Of course nothing solid has happened yet, but that’s just SVU for ya.
At the very least, I am happy that the platonic (at least currently) relationship between them is still advancing, though. Last week’s episode, with both Sonny and Amanda bonding with their fave murderers, and calling each other out, and admitting to each other that maybe they did let the killers get into their heads a little, that was awesome. Like, that’s a level of interaction we don’t normally see on this show, not unless Liv is involved.
So I think we can be hopeful, lol. Even though on the romantic front we’ve only really had that one moment, the way Amanda looked at Sonny when he held Jesse, in terms of Rollisi in general, we have had a lot of nice moments between them. I would still love it if they stayed friends, just because their relationship has advanced so much and it’d be refreshing to keep it platonic. But a romantic relationship, that would also be lovely.
Keep in mind, I’m answering as a viewer/Sonny fan. Not shipping-wise. I’ve said it before, but there are my shippy thoughts (and my fics) which are 99.9% Barisi, but there’s the reality of the show too. I keep those separate in my mind. And unless the SVU writers decide to give us a legit gay pairing between two regulars (which I doubt, since the only main gay character we’ve had has been Huang and his romantic life was never showcased), Rollisi seems way more likely.
Personally, I’m easy. And I’d love to see Sonny in a relationship. It’d be the cutest thing. And I’d also love to see Amanda with someone more mellow. She seems changed, since she had Jesse. It wouldn’t be a stretch to see that her taste or her choices in partner has also changed.
Let’s see. I’m excited about them going undercover tonight, hopefully that will give us some fun moments :D
