Strollin’ in NYC || rollthedxce
The smells, the sounds and the atmosphere of being back in New York City was so nostalgic to Merina but also welcoming too. She was so happy when Kaiba surprised her with a nice week trip here for the two of them and for leisure, not for business. On top of that, a few days prior, she immediately called her best friend and, at-time, college roommate that she would be in town. Of course, she still remember the high pitch squeal she received from her dear friend and they both had planned to meet up so they catch up and also… So she can finally meet her dear boyfriend.
When they had arrived in New York just two days ago, Merina had called her best friend again to set up a time and place for them to meet up and just spend the whole day together; just the three of them. And this is where they were now… At a nice cafe at West End, just a few blocks from the Juilliard School, having a small breakfast and waiting…
Merina bit her lip in worry as she checked her phone, for what seem to be the fifth time, and noticed the time. It 10:30 am… And her best friend was supposed to be here at 10. Something was up…
“Where is she…?” She seemed to mutter to herself. “She’s never this late…”
