Born #OTD: Artist Roman Kramsztyk (Polish-Jewish, 18 Aug 1885 – 6 Aug 1942). A victim of the Holocaust, he was imprisoned in the Warsaw Ghetto, where in 1942 he was shot dead on the street by a German soldier.

■ Roman Kramsztyk (18 August 1885 – 6 August 1942) was a Polish realist painter of Jewish descent in the interwar period. He was shot dead in the Warsaw Ghetto in 1942.
