“I know, I know,” Nina said as soon as the door was opened and she showed him a sheepish smile. “I should have called first but I got wine and some takeout from Hale’s so I don’t really think you can say no to me,” she teasingly said, holding up her hands to show the bottle of wine and the packages of food she had brought. Even though they had seen each other at the masquerade ball, Nina still felt like they hadn’t really spent as much time together as she would have liked -- which surprised her. She had always been preaching about how she was so good on her own, but dang it, she can’t believe she missed him. Maybe it was because of how she felt around him, like she didn’t have anything to worry about, maybe it was the sex, maybe she genuinely liked Roman’s company but whatever the case, she decided to take matters into her own hands, hence why she was there at his doorstep. “I hope I’m not interruptin’ anythin’.”

Truth be told, Sam didn’t really know what time it was. She just knew that the sun was up, flooding her living room in bright light, hence the wearing of the sunglasses even indoors. She was high, just the tiniest bit tipsy and was blasting loud music as she ate a couple of cookies she had delivered to her doorstep. Truth be told, this was probably the happiest had been in a long time, though happy was probably too strong a word for it. Maybe she was high just enough to make her feel... content. At least she wasn’t bawling or numbing herself with reality tv like she normally did. The sound of the door opening caused her little to no alarm as she continued to lie down on her couch. “If you’re going to take something,” Sam called out. “Might as well start with the tv. I lost the remote so it’s practically useless,” she said, as her mind sluggishly tried to go through the people she had given a key to her home to. Lena, Roman, Nadine, Raf. Groaning at herself for thinking of Raf when she was doing so wll, Sam sat up and saw it was none other than Roman, causing her to show him a giddy smile. “Ah, Romy! To what do I owe the pleasure of your surprise visit?”
