[Victim]: Miss Romancedy [Cause of Death]: Blunt force trauma with the ground. [State of the Body]: Light bruising, Head caved, Lacerations of the neck and shoulders, and excessive Bleeding from head wound. Angel Cakes: “I was taking a walk through the gardens at the time. I bumped into Ariace, and didn’t really hear about what happened until a while later.”

Ariace Wingate: “Tensions in the house were a bit high. I took to snooping around the house a bit and ended up in the gardens. I ran into Angel Cakes and we got to talking. We were a bit too far to hear the commotion.”

Hardcover Hex: “I was reading in the library. Wasn't distracted enough not to hear bloody murder being called from across the house. Fucking thin ass walls...”

Lazy Cloud: “I didn’t see what happened. I was passed out drunk in the dining room when I heard the crashing. Took a second to realize someone fell. Went to have a look and found Roma just sorta dead.”

Mayia: “I was out in the garden looking for Peach. We got separated again… But I did end up finding him in the ballroom, like I always do. That’s when someone found… her…”

Peach Kisses: “I was in the Ballroom. I spend hours singing there since I'd rather not lose my talents, you know? I promised Mayia we could sing together for a bit after I finished my daily practice. Maybe teach her a bit of piano too! We spent our time there together until we were alerted by others of the murder.”

Reese: “I was actually on my way to the kitchen at the time when Lazy was letting everyone know about the murder.”

Scraps Scrappington Von Scrappers: “I spend a lot of time meandering through the house. There’s noooothing to dooo here, but it was getting late. I was getting hungry, so I was headed to the dining room. Then death happened.”

Summer Stars: “I was just browsing the library for something to read! But then someone started yelling about a murder, and I might’ve panicked just a little.”

Player Investigations

Players were asked to investigate, and these are the fruits of their labour. Players are largely responsible for the outcome of the trials, but we would love to hear from you! You can vote at the bottom of the sheet.

You can review the case from the beginning from here. Hardcover Hex: “I’d hate to say it since I like her but with the feathers having to be from a wing and not pillows it narrows down to pegasi. Though with the blunt force it either suggests help or they were strong themself. So I think it was Lazy, the strong mechanic pegasus. And she had help from Mayia. I’d think Ace, but he wasn’t that close to Mayia.”

Mayia: “Romancedy might’ve been the most well liked pony in the house… And it feels like this was done really… brutally. They would’ve had to be really heavy to make such a big mark in the floor and spray the walls. Mister Scraps and Miss Summer are the only ones that seem to have that kind of weight. Who else would have the strength? Miss Lazy and Mister Scraps were the closest, and anyone could get my feathers and a knife. I've been moulting since we've been in this house. But those cracks in the floor means you'd have to be really heavy! And Mister Scraps is the biggest.”

Scraps Scrappington Von Scrappers: "We know a few things for sure. There are feathers at the crime scene. They are white. This means the killer has feathers, or had access to feathers. There is only one person with white feathers on their person, and that is Mayia.

Since Lazy found the body so soon after the act, it is highly unlikely the killer had time to really tamper with the murder. So we can assume all info is accurate.

The victim was attacked from behind, and likely with the discarded knife covered in blood. This knocked them down the stairs, where she died when her skull cracked on the ground.

Finally, for motive, Mayia was found in the Ballroom. Close to the kitchen and where the body was found. Romancedy and Peach had been spending time together, leaving Mayia behind at the bathroom. Mayia could have seen Roma as a threat to her relationship, and killed Romancedy to keep her away from Peach. Then panicking after the kill, she ran to the Ballroom while Lazy wandered in and found the body.

It's pretty open and shut to be honest."

Summer Stars: Summer dusted her hooves she didn’t know where to start. Summer glanced at the scene of the crime and started to pace around then spotted feathers on the floor scattered, her memory sparked when she remembered Mayia feathers was falling out. Summer turned to see if there were feathers in the ballroom but was lucky to find one of the feathers got caught in Summer’s mane. She started thinking about how the crime happened from what she guessed their may have been a struggle or a surprise turn of events leading to the murder of Roma but not much evidence was revealed.
