as the morning sunlight forces particles of dust to twirl around like ballerinas dancing,
my eyes wander over your body. i lay there in awe of your beauty, wondering just how lucky i am to have you in my life. i plant kisses on your nose and forehead, urging you to wake up- and you do.
you lie there, smiling with your eyes shut as i continue to kiss your face. i cup your cheek with my hand, and let my lips meet yours. ‘i love you’, i say. you attempt to say it back but out of sleepiness you are only able to mumble a few words, and all i can do is smile till my cheeks hurt.
