There's something so insidious about the "love interests" (they are better and deserve better than that title) that are chosen for Anzu. The mysterious hot guy (who has trauma related to a stalker and thus is wary of romance) and the rich kid with no good social skills and the childhood friend who's only friend at one time was her
It's like they were handpicked to have attachment issues and thus latch onto her.
Of course it doesn't work. For the simple reason of Anzu is not a creep who would take advantage of that Ever.
But then I think of how the things that anzu cherished most were taken away from her and realize
On paper, she's pretty vulnerable too.
I mean, her socializing habits weren't exactly healthy (speaking from experience) human connection is important and blocking it out entirely for hobbies is bad for you. She has like, one friend that she talks to that we know of. The other things she relies on are things that can't help her grow and mature by themselves (not counting her parents who were also thrust out of the picture).
