I’m on Nona rn but I realise I’ve barely been posting about my experience reading tlt so to catch everyone up my main takeaways from Harrow (other than gay gay homosexual gay and wow im going fucking insane) were:

Tasmyn Muir is an absolute comedic genius who loves picking the most tragic and upsetting moments to be an absolute troll. The fucking graffiti S or whatever its called. Bari star. NONE HOUSE WITH LEFT GRIEF ACTUALLY LEFT ME BLEEDING OUT ON THE FLOOR AND HI NOT FUCKING DEAD IM DAD DELIVERED THE FINAL FUCKING BLOW. SPEECHLESS. I WAS SPEECHLESS. I actually think I screamed and threw some stuff when that happened icl.

The absolute balls that that woman possesses. Writing a book almost entirely in second person. Having this second person address actually turn out to be one character narrating to another BECAUSE THAT CHARACTER LIVED INSIDE HER THAT WHOLE TIME. The absolutely incredible stuff that was going on with the plot which i cant get into rn. But my favourite thing. My absolute favourite thing. The thing I respect most out of everything Muir has ever included in these books (and trust me when i say i respect her for a hell of a lot of stuff). Is the fact that this author basically straight up said ‘okay here are the au fics I expect from you guys now make it quick’ HELLO?????? Roleswap au? Arranged(ish) marriage au? Coffeeshop meetcute au??? This woman has straight up given us homework and you bet your damned ass as soon as I’ve finished this book I’m going to get it done for her more dutifully and faithfully than I’ve ever done any piece of homework that actually had an impact on my grades in my entire life.

Tasmyn Muir you are my absolute idol. When I grow up I want to be you.
