We know that Gideon (original flavour) fell in love with Wake, essentially because of her work ethic, and we know that him and Matthias Nonius (who was also very dedicated to his job, and a brilliant fighter) fought once upon a time. Matthias describes G1deon as “a rival and ally”. Do we think they fucked.

Just finished a htn reread and I’m going absolutely insane about this scene. Is Wake reacting this way to Pyrrha or G1deon? Does it matter to her? Does she love them/him/her?? I had always assumed that their affair was mostly physical (at least from Wake’s perspective) but this is such a deeply emotional, human reaction coming from a woman who has up to this point displayed nothing but hatred.

The two other interactions we have between G1deon/Pyrrha and Wake-inside-Cyths-corpse are when harrow catches them kissing and when Wake tries to barbecue G1deon/Pyrrha in the incinerator. Does Wake love them?? Does she hate them?? Who does she think she’s seeing, G1deon or Pyrrha??

Also, in the above scene Pyrrha shoots her on sight. Did they make some kind of plan together that Pyrrha doesn’t want Wake to reveal? Are there any other secrets? I do believe that Pyrrha loved her so why the cold-blooded headshot?

I seriously would kill for like a short story about the whole Pyrrha/Wake/G1deon affair, I have so many questions! And I’d love to hear y’all’s takes on this!!
