PURIFICATION - 2012 - A full comic page digital illustration I created for the Romantically Apocalyptic online comic series. It was during my first years of freelance work after graduating @curtinuniversity (which was 10 years ago now! Crazy how time flies.) Started as several pencil drawings of skeletons scanned & painted digitally in @photoshop with my @wacom tablet. Was definitely one of those level-up pieces. I did another big skeleton piece for the comic as well. 🖌💀🎨 Signed A3 prints of this one have been restocked & more are available at my Online Store. I've been updating my Facebook, Instagram & @etsy stores with more of the products that are at my website. Feel free to check it out for the full range (including original drawings). Cheers! 🤘🎃 #austenmengler #horrorart #darkart #romanticallyapocalyptic #scifiart #perthhorrorfans #skeletons #burning #halloween #halloweenart #fireart #darkartistssubmission #perthhorror #halloween2021 #horrorprints #creepmachine #horrorcomics #halloweenprint #perthartist #australianhorror #purification #scifihorror #skeletonart (at Perth, Western Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CTxCfmFBZKp/?utm_medium=tumblr

It is no exaggeration when I say that Romantically Apocalyptic opened my eyes to the possibilities of storytelling in mixed media. I...
