StoryTime...
There once was a person — let’s call them Dream — who literally could not catch a break when it came to romance. Like, every time they liked someone… boom. One of their friends decided they liked them too. Like. Every. Single. Time. The universe had jokes. 😭
And I know, I know, they should probably grow a backbone or something, but nooo — they’re a people pleaser™. So of course they just sit there like, “Oh haha, you’d low-key make such a cute couple,” while their insides twisted and churned and turned and whirled and twirled.
Anyway. Dream’s friend (let’s call them A) had this other friend (B) who Dream low-key liked. Nothing serious, just a casual daydream kind of thing. And then one day A’s like, “Omg, I think I like B.” Plot twist of the century. Cue Dream, internally combusting, externally smiling like 😊 “You should totally go for it.”
And so A did. They dated. And Dream swallowed their feelings like a bad vitamin.
Fast forward — things between A and B go downhill (messy breakup era unlocked 🥴). They don’t talk for a bit, and suddenly Dream’s dumb heart is like, “Hey, remember that crush you buried alive? Yeah. The grave wasn’t deep enough. They’re back.”
And now A and B are talking again. Not as a couple. Not exactly as exes either. Just… undefined.
And Dream? Dream’s here — waiting for this journey of feelings to end, wondering if it ever actually will.
If you were the author of this story — in your own world, your own universe — how would you want it to end? How would you hope it ends? Or maybe… how do you imagine it would?
