Friday 22nd November 2019 sees the opening/vernissage of "ALLEGORIE" first solo art exhibition @spaziofaroroma of artist @emiliano.alfonsi curated by @lis.anna.58 #freeentry #freedrink "Allegories" is a fundamental stage in the artistic career of Emiliano Alfonsi, who here focuses, as the title suggests, on a theme dear to him and which is present in much of his production. The absolute protagonist of the exhibition is the unpublished work "Amor Contro Invidia" exhibited for the first time at the Spazio Faro together with a careful selection of paintings and graphite works. In the year that marks the five hundredth anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci, Alfonsi proposes two allegories taken from the writings of the Tuscan master. With the exhibition "Allegories" the artist sanctions in absolute "the way in that marvelous experience called painting to the search of the Archetype and Universal Beauty". Emiliano Alfonsi, born in 1980, lives and works in Rome, his hometown. During his years of academic training, he devoted himself to working with stained glass and mosaics according to the dictates of medieval art. Later he decided to devote himself to easel painting, recovering the technique of egg tempera of 1400 and the meticulous style of the Flemish school. Through a rigorous study of the portrait - icon, these neo-Flemish paintings break the classic space-time axis between the work and the interlocutor, restoring the fragile bond that exists between the human being and the Sacred.
