Alternative Art Groupfie
Having a short discussion with film director Robert Quebral and the Philippine art world’s “Wild Thing” Romeo Lee (born 1958) at the Black Soup Café in the Teachers Village of Quezón City.
I have known Lee ever since I entered the UP College of Fine Arts (UP CFA) in the University of the Philippines Dilimán campus in Quezón City. If you are from the UP CFA and do not know of the “Lee”, then shame on you.
As for Robert, I had known his as in the early 1990s, as we were all tambays of the alternative music venue of “Red Rocks’ and later “Club Dredd”. Later on, I have gotten closer to him and his wife Pearlsha when I became a production designer in several independent films, and started hanging around the graduates of the MOWELFund (Movie Workers Welfare Foundation) film school.
