A Little Birdy Told Me || Roonie

The school day was officially over and Minnie had collected all of her belongings ready to head home. Normally, she would walk home with Marzel but today wasn’t the case. She thought she would have a shift to go to right after this school one, but it had gotten cancelled, so off to home, she went. 

There were times on her walk home when Minnie would bump into the Secondary kids as they were off to their homes as well. These were one of those times.

Teenagers of all ages were bustling around chit-chatting and walking in groups free from their bondage of school classes.   

Some of the teenagers greeted Minnie when they saw her walking by. She knew loads of them some from hospital visits and others due to the fact that she merely knew their parents. There was one teenager, however, that caught the brunette’s eyes and had her speeding up in her pace to catch up to.

“Roo!” Minnie called out, catching the boy’s attention. 

“How are you? I’m guessing you’re just getting out of school, huh?”

Caffeine In The ED || Roonie

Minnie was in the hospital, which used to be a normal and frequented place for the brunette. Ever since her attack from a previous patient, however, Minnie had gone down to per-diem and picked up a position as a school nurse in Swynlake Primary. 

This shift was an evening shift being done right after her shift at Swynlake Primary which meant, Minnie was tired. 

Being as she was in the ED feeling tired was not optimal, but this was something the brunette was learning to adjust to all over again. The shift was going well underway, and she had just left a room, discharging a patient off home. She was going to head off to the nursing station to do some charting she needed to complete for that patient when she saw a familiar figure. 

It was Roo, Kanga’s son, with a coffee in hand looking for someone (probably his mother). That coffee looked so good! It was probably what Minnie needed to get for herself at this moment as she thought about it. 

Slipping out of her mind, Minnie walked over to Roo greeting him with a kind smile and wave.

“Roo it’s so nice to see you!” She embraced him in a hug, not having seen him in a while as she has been absent from the hospital healing from the attack. “How are you? Are you looking for your mum?”
