Unknown to His Brothers | R. Weasley
Pairing: Ron Weasley X Fem!Reader
Description: George and Fred had their eyes on you not knowing you weren’t available.
Fred and George Weasley were waiting around the corner for your arrival, as they had been doing for a whole week now.
You had your books clutched to your chest as you passed the twins. Their eyes followed you with every step you took towards the Great Hall. Fred joined you at your side first, then George.
“Hello (y/n), lovely weather don’t ya think?”
“I am not really a fan of the rain,” you answered politely.
George snickered a little, seeing the chance of his brother swooping you away fade by the second. “Me neither,” George spoke.
Fred rolled his eyes while George had a grin dancing on his lips.
The entire way to the Great hall went like that. Fred and George trying to swoop you off your feet with compliments and chivalry acts of kindness. And when one was turned down the other tried harder, a smirk on their face as they glanced at each other. It was almost a competition who could sweep you off your feet first.
The moment you turned right you collided into George. “Sorry,” you both muttered above Fred’s laughter.
George rubbed his neck and let his hand out. With a small smile you passed him and walked further into the Great Hall. Fred saw the opportunity to rub the embarrassment into his brother even further. “Great job, brother. Great job.”
Ron Weasley had watched it all happen. He could also see your cheeks turn red when all eyes were casted on you. With your head held to the ground you walked past everyone. The closer you got to your group of friends the more your smile grew.
Ron could see his brothers following quickly, probably to try again. You had told him about it in the beginning and while his wise words of ‘just tell those buggers off’ he now saw that that must have been impossible to achieve.
You saw him hold out his hand which you gladly accepted and took a seat next to him. “Hello, love,” Ron whispered.
You had wanted to say something back, to greet him like you did everyday; a sweet ‘hello’ and a kiss on the cheek. But Ron Weasley had changed the plans last minute as his two brothers were arriving. He rubbed your hand as he gently kissed you at the table. It was a soft and delicate kiss which you returned for a couple of seconds, before both of you pulled away.
Ron still held a sweet and goofish smile on his lips while yours was more sheepish but meant the same.
“Hello,” you whispered back, the smile never leaving your lips.
Ron wrapped his arm around you as you striked a conversation with Hermione. He glanced back for a second, watching his brother’s faces fall even more when he smiled back. Shaking his head with laughter Ron also turned back to the conversation.
Fred and George sat on the opposite side of the table, having their own conversation. Fred watched you two with his eyebrows knitted together. “Did you know about this?”
“No,” George answered, looking just as confused as Fred.
“You should have,” Ginny spoke from beside them, “they have been together for over a month now.”
