What was Ron George’s press secretary thinking?
Tommy Rodriguez, Ron George’s deputy campaign manager and press secretary, sent out a press release today. Rodriguez is yet another gubernatorial campaign press guy who is hostile to bloggers so I didn’t get it directly from the campaign, but I did manage to get it nonetheless.
Here’s the release:

Hogan not the only campaign going to gun shows
Hogan not the only campaign going to gun shows
After my post last night on the campaign of Larry Hogan reaching out to 2nd amendment supporters by campaigning at a gun show, I heard from more than one source close to the campaign of Ron George pointing out they had been campaigning at gun shows too. One person in particular pointed out that George’s running mate Shelley Aloi attended an antique gun show in Timonium the weekend before the gun…

The Washington Post later picked that up and reported it as a possibility for the George campaign. Nothing much was heard on that since then. In early February, Larry Hogan opted to receive public financing. On February 28, it was reported that David Craig is participating in public financing.

Possible running mate for Ron George?
Possible running mate for Ron George?
There had been rumors for a few weeks that former Baltimore County Republican Central Committee Chairman Tony Campbell might become Ron George’s running mate. George and Campbell both denied it on Twitter last week and I had heard about Campbell denials prior to that and also this week.
While Campbell has announced that he is running as a Republican for Baltimore County Executive, he has not f…
