Apparently there's an Ig Nobel Prize given to people who do stuff that's either annoying or funny.
Winners include: Ron Popeil, inventor of the infomercial, for consumer engineering.
Various executives and scientists employed by tobacco companies for their unshakeable confidence nicotine wasn't addictive, for medicine.
And Sir Andre Geim in physics for making a frog float via magnetism. He also got a standard Nobel Prize.
