MDP Statement on Passing of Civil Rights Advocate Ron Scott
The Michigan Democratic Party issued the following statement today, on behalf of Party Chair Brandon Dillon, regarding the death of Detroit civil rights advocate Ron Scott: "Ron Scott embodied what it means to take a stand for your beliefs. He spent a lifetime standing up for others, pursuing equality and justice, while instilling a stronger social conscience in all those around him. He will be missed, but the positive change he brought about – in his community and through the generation of activists he influenced – will live on for generations."

A Detroit TV station is asking if homeowners defending themselves with deadly force gone too far in Detroit.
Detroit is the cesspool of the US, with even the policy chief recently suggesting that people should get concealed carry permits to be able to defend themselves.
Apparently, three cases of homeowners shooting suspected intruders have been reported in the past five weeks.
