I love the "my brother in Christ" meme. Retooling the performance of protestantism by replacing the n-word with a similar term of in-group solidarity among the oppressed (the beloved of Christ are the slaves and downtrodden, after all) is just chef's kiss in my African American opinion. I mean compare it to something like ni🅱️🅱️a and it's obvious how much more subtle, true to the flavor, and ripe with comedic potential "my brother in Christ" is as an n-word substitute. It can really stand on its own.

no offense but why do y’all still think black people don’t have community leaders and that we don’t care about violence in our communities? just because that work isn’t glamorous and largely isn’t accessible to community outsiders doesn’t mean it hasn’t been getting done for decades
