So, for the #spokenword show we did last weekend, I opened it with a performance based on these notes I created for @julesdangerfox one morning when I realized what gifts he's brought into my life. As I felt inspired to write these, I discovered that he'd left a note to surprise me in the stacks of square paper I was using, one he put there weeks earlier that I only discovered as I was doing this. Driving home yesterday, I thought about how every #woman deserves to feel like this -- every #soul actually. To know a #love so genuine & amazing that this is an example of what #divine love must be like. One of my #yoga mentors, when she found her current partner, said "He shows me what love from the Divine must be like -- I already feel so lucky and blessed now, I can only imagine what love from the Infinite can be." Unconditional, whole, passionate, supportive, exciting, adventurous and a whole slew of adjectives I need to bring in a thesaurus for. I believed this kind of love was possible, saw it through various friends, colleagues & mentors, so I held out hope. And now, here he is. Yes, I had to go to the most remote inhabited place in the world to find him, a tiny rock in the middle of the Pacific, but life works in funny ways like that. Every time I'm with him, I tell him how #grateful I am for the gifts he's brought into my life, beyond anything I was expecting. He's unlocked and uncovered parts of me I buried so deep, I told myself they didn't exist anymore, for fear of those things never coming true. He continues to encourage me to live in what IS rather than what IF, because what IS is wonderful. And, because I don't know what'll come, what I do is thank life for all the blessings that I've experienced up until now. Gratitude begets more things to be grateful for, living in this vibration attracts more, and as we often say to one another, "The best is yet to come." Because if everything is unknown, then why not bank on the good stuff? #yogaoffthemat #luch #rooa
