Roock Racing caused a sensation worldwide in the 1990s. After early successes in the Porsche Carrera Cup, the Leverkusen-based racing team even won the Porsche Supercup, which was held as part of European Formula 1 races, and the ADAC GT series several times. The courageous leap onto the international stage also succeeded with flying colors. In 1993 the Rhinelander won the Spa-Francorchamps 24 Hours practically on the spot. In 1996 Roock Racing dared to enter the up-and-coming BPR Global GT series, which later became the endurance world championship, and immediately achieved the unbelievable: the GT2 victory at the world-famous 24 Hours of Le Mans. In 1997, Roock Racing secured the runner-up in the newly established FIA GT Championship and defended the title a year later. In 1999 the team fielded one of the rare Porsche 911 GT1s in the FIA GT series. The new Roock GT1 is a reminder of this great time. The vehicle is based on the Porsche 992 Turbo S. Roock combined the racing history with the 993 GT2 Le Mans, the Porsche GT1 and the Porsche 959 in this car.
